Dr. Julian thomas says just a few days ago there were also three bee hives, until they were stolen. 3 3 i came in on saturday morning and sure enough the frames where the bees. Beehives were standing. Were still here, but the bees were gone. This is a picture of what the hives looked like when they were on the property, each weighing 80 pounds and worth hundreds of dollars. This is whats there now. I just cant imagine anybody doing this. It has to be somebody that knows bees, because, you gotta know what youre doing if youre gonna steal a beehive without getting stung. Thomas says they have always put the vegetables from their garden at the front counter their way out, and as they started their beehives this time last year, they were excited to add honey to their selection. You cant harvest honey the first year, so this was going to be our first year harvesting honey, and the whole idea was to supply the patients with honey, just small jars. Thomas says they think the theives came in through this back path because they saw no activity on their security cameras.
