A wareham teen rushed to the hospital after a chase ending in a serious crash. Police say a 17yearold with a suspended license was speeding and driving without lights at around 4 00 this morning. They say he sideswiped another vehicle. That motorist then remained behind the teens vehicle and reported his location to police. The teen then crashed on trees. He is now at Rhode Island Hospital in serious condition. Nancy also breaking that the hour. A pedestrian rushed to the hospital after being hit by a car. Police say. Are not releasing many details at this point. This happened just aftermidnight. On quincy street in dorchester. The victims injuries are said to be liferthreatening. And right along the immediate coastline, we see the most cloud cover. Down into southeastern massachusetts, including interior southeastern massachusetts. The clouds eventually moving their way from east to west throughout the day. This afternoon, temperatures holding in the low 50s along the coastline. Mid50s to even near 60 deeper inland. We hold on to more sunshine. The farther west you go. A couple of rain s for a few hours, it will be raining. Then that will transition over to scattered snow showers by later tomorrow into tomorrow night. We will talk more on that and that cold pattern coming in to follow on the 7day forecast. Anchor breaking news. A chase ends in a serious crash. A 78yearold with a suspended license was speeding and driving without lights about 4 00 this morning. They say he sideswiped another vehicle. That motorist then stayed behind the teens car and the teen then crashed on county road, hitting several trees. He is now at Rhode Island Hospital in serious condition. We are told this happened just after midnight in dorchester on quincy street. The victims injuries are said to be lifethreatening. So far, we know of at least one teacher off the job. Another is on administrative leave. Reporter a Serious Investigation involving state and local authorities. The departmentle of children and families, along with the Hingham Police department are looking into allegations that children were mistreated at a Bright Horizons Day Care Center inside this office building. Pending the investigation. Dcf spokesperson tells 7 news the department of children and families received a report on this situation, and we are investigating. In a statement of their own, Bright Horizons says our most important responsibility is to ensure that all children are safe, well caredfor, and treated with respect at all times. As soon as the situation was brought to our attention, we communicated directly with all the families who have children at the center. The teacher involved has been authorities as they review this situation and will help them in any way we can. Officials got a call early friday morning from someone claiming they shot a hostage and also boobytrapped a room inside the library on campus. According to the reports, the plane crashed into a parking lot late last night. The impact regarding the zika virus outbreak. It is no longer considered an International Public health emergency. A handicapped man trapped inside a burning home. Firefighters quickly rushed into action to drag that man to safety. Here is the dramatic video. The Fire Department and sheriffs deputies find him, pulling him to safety. Disabled and wheelchairbound, he cannot move. The only way to find him in the thick smoke. If you hear them or see them, calling to them. Okay . This house was at the point where we had to get in and get him out right then and there. The shift chander says that is exactly what happened. The smoke was 1214 inches from the floor, just enough room for a human body to lay flat and get a small amount of oxygen. For them to be able to gets in and get them out, it had to happen at that moment or within the next minute or else the outcome could have been completely different. He is expected to be okay. Nancy also this morning, crews in california working some pretty long hours there. Fighting waves of foam that spilled out on to the streets. Foam that is usually used to fight aircraft fires was accidentally released from inside a hangar at san jose airport. The foam covering cars and blocking businesses for hours. Why the system went off here, i dont know. Nobody can go in that billing right now. The foam is ten feet deep inside that building. However, diluted like it is right now and filled with air, it is not an irritant to human skin. But again, if it gets in your eyes, it could create a problem. It is going to slowly edge its way westbound through the afternoon. I do expect by this afternoon, to see a lot of us, flip over to mainly cloudy skies. Especially late in the afternoon. Potent area of low pressure that brought blizzard conditions across minnesota and back into south dakota yesterday. That continues its journey through the great lakes. The area of low pressure itself will move north and west of us. Initially, we drag in some mild air overnight tonight. On the flip side of the front, the temperatures come down and come down quite a bit. We will watch that transition tomorrow. Especially across western new england. Then by tomorrow night, into early monday, there may be a snow shower that can get into the boston area or at least across eastern massachusetts.
