Friday, friday night into saturday morning, some patchy drizzle, and then you get north and west of boston, there may be some patchy freezing drizzle out here, especially friday night into early saturday morning. New this morning, investigators remain on the scene searching in dorchester. It happened overnight at around 3 00 a. M. On gaston street. Most of the damage was to the attic. Nobody was hurt, but three people are now staying with family. Hot wheels on a highway. A delivery truck goes up in flames on 495 south yesterday afternoon. The truck was carrying Paper Supplies, making it even more flammable. Sky7 h. D. Overhead showing fivemile backup. The driver told firefighters he heard a noise in the engine and pulled over. Thats when the truck caught fire. It also spread to some of the grass next to it. No one was hurt. Everything clear this morning after a tractortrailer rolls over on 495 in andover. It happened on the southbound side of the road last night. Four other cars were also involved. Minor injuries. Christa this morning a pedestrian hit by a car overnight in bridgetteon, and you can see the damage to the windshield of that vehicle. Boston ems says the victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, and the driver was also taken to the hospital to get checked out. Right now students at Swampscott High School are returning to class after learning that their former principal was allegedly caught in a cyber sting. A new Police Report accuses him of sending inappropriate messages to someone he thought was a 13yearold girl. Lets head out live to 7s Jennifer Egan who has more details for us. Jen . Jennifer christa, according to that Police Report, he went into an internet chat room and started chatting with who he thought was a teenage girl, telling her he was 51 and a high school principal. It turns out that girl was not a teenager. Police say swampscott highs former principal sent inappropriate messages to someone who he thought was a 13yearold girl. According to a Police Report, in november, 51yearold rozmiarek asked the girl about her bra size and other inappropriate questions. He told the girl he was 51 and a school principal, exchanged phone numbers and emails with the girl, but the teen was actually a decoy who turned the information over to police. Rozmiarek resigned from his position of principal last month after allegations of inappropriate use of school computers. Detectives found adult pornographic material on his school laptop. Police confronted rozmiarek on december 7th. They say, when asked why he was doing this, he stated, because its exciting. Rozmiarek acknowledged his behavior as inappropriate but would not elaborate. Rozmiarek was ordered not to return to the school. Filed. Morn, Jennifer Egan, 7news today in new england. Sarah now to new details about the saugus firefighters who pulled their brothers from a burning home. Three firefighters were trapped by the flames tearing through this building. 7s victoria warren is on the scene and, vicki, were now hearing those calls for help. Victoria this was an amazing rescue, sarah. Here on the scene today, theyre going to finish demolishing the house. The house is a complete loss, but no one will soon forget the heroic efforts of the firefighters who ran in to save three of their own. An urgent call for help from three saugus firefighters trapped inside this burning home. May day, may day, get us out of here victoria the fire spread so quickly, the firefighters found themselves surrounded by flames and quick smoke. His helmet and was out of air. He broke the window. I seen his hand and i reached in and i said, brother, give me your hand, brother. He grabbed my hand and basically started pulling him out. Victoria two other firefighters were helped down the stairs. If we didnt grab them, there wasnt anyone else coming in enough time. So fortunately we were able to get to them. Victoria a woman in her 80s, her daughter and her adult granddaughter were staying in the home and able to escape. The most important thing is that everyone got out safe, the family and no one was hurt. Victoria the family says things can be replaced, people cannot. The saugus fire chief says he witnessed true heroes in action. I would say the firefighters on scene definitely saved the lives of my men. I dont want the think about what would have happened if i didnt see his hand. Victoria the three trapped firefighters all had minor injuries. The women who were in the home boom shortly before the fire started. The fire chief has said that the fire started in the basement, but hes not given an official cause yet. Christa new this morning a new report finding t bus drivers and rail operators already the highest paid in the country are getting some of the biggest raises. According to the boston herald, over the next two years, bus drivers pay will increase to nearly 37 per hour and rail operators will get a boost that puts them over that aim. According to the herald investigation, only transit drivers in San Francisco will get a bigger raise. And that news, of course, comes as the mbta is considering two different plans to raise fares on the t. Those increases could be anywhere from 5 to 10 beginning in july. Also new this morning, the next Court Appearance for bill cosby is now being postponed. The comedian is set to face a judge next week in pennsylvania or was on a Sexual Assault charge, but cosbys attorneys prepare. Cosby is accused of drugging and assaulting also yesterday prosecutors out in los angeles announced they will not press charges against cosby in a pair of similar cases there. This whole slug of moisture has to work through new england, and it will, providing us with about an inch of rain. Widespread across the area. So it will be a quickhitting storm, but well get quite a bit of rain in here sunday morning through about midday. With the area of low pressure to the north and west of us, its a mild storm. When she was transported by ambulance, she was really concerned her two small dogs were left the house and they were out running around loose. The fire chief says this pickup truck was used to steal the departments snow blade. They learned it had been stolen over the weekend. Jennifer christa, there were a lot of questions when the principal resigned back in december. Students and parents only knew there was some kind of misconduct with a school computer. Now a new Police Report reveals the reasons why he stepped down. Police say swampscott highs former principal sent inappropriate messages to someone who he thought was a 13yearold girl. According to a Police Report, over about a threeweek period in november, 51yearold Edward Rozmiarek initiated chat and text conversations that were sexual in nature, asking the girl about her bra size and other more graphic questions. Police say he told the girl he was 51 and a school principal, exchanged phone numbers and emails with the girl. But the teen was actually a decoy who turned the information over to police. Rozmiarek resigned from his position of principal last month after allegations of inappropriate use of School Detectives found adult pornographic material on his school laptop. Police confronted rozmiarek on december 7th. They say, when asked why he was doing this, he stated, because its exciting. rozmiarek acknowledged his behavior as inappropriate but would not elaborate. So fortunately we were able to get to him. Reporter a woman in her 80s, her daughter and her adult granddaughter were staying in the home and able to escape. The saugus fire chef says he witnessed true heros in action. I would say the firefighters on scene definitely saved the lives of my men. I mean, you hear about things like this with, of course, lassie. Nick jock apparently insisted officer biceglia follow him to annabelle, who had slipped down an embankment and was trapped. You know, come with me. I know you have the means to do what i cant do. Nick the Fire Department helped with the tricky rescue. Annabelle was taken to nearby athol where the vet gave her the all clear. For an officer to come back an hour later and not give up and turning around and coming back again, hes the key the really having this all come into play.
