However work the cold air passing over the relatively warm ocean waters, i do expect some snow showers and squalls to develop across cape cod bay and Massachusetts Bay and then go over the cape and the islands. Thats where well see accumulating snow this afternoon, this evening and into the Early Morning hours tomorrow. Even a few of these snow showers with a slight easterly direction of a northerly wind, if that makes any sense, coming in may skirt coastal Plymouth County. We could get a little snow there. State police say the victim has nonlifethreatening injuries. Officers were on two scenes for several hours ore night. Police tell us person was arrested and will be in court later this morning. Sarah a lawrence man is set to face charges after he allegedly drove away from a traffic stop and dragged a trooper in medford. Police say the incident happened on 93 south sunday while the man was driving this car. According to investigators, he drove away, taking the trooper with him. The trooper was pulled a short distance before being released. He was not hurt and chased after the man. Another trooper arrested the suspect in everett. Kris happening later today, man accused of assaulting an officer will be arraigned. Andrew bowman repeatedly bunched an officer in the face. The officer was not seriously injured. Protest, broke into the refugee building after a march this weekend and have been there ever since. The demonstrators claim to be peaceful and that they are simply protesting for ranchers rights. I do expect as that cold air continues to drain on down for it to be dry for a lot of us today. But not all of us. Because as this arctic air, this much colder air you see to the north, starts the move over the relatively warm ocean waters, it will create oceaneffect snow. Well see these snow showers and squalls develop over cape cod bay, Massachusetts Bay and then continue to stream in down across the cape and the islands. Now, at times there may be a little bit of an easterly component to that northly breeze, so even across coastal Plymouth County, you could see a few snow showers and center squall, but most of it will be confined to the cape and the islands beginning midday and continuing into tomorrow morning at times. Sometimes these bans wander around. You go from partly sunny skies, drive three miles down the road into the middle of a snow squall. Thats the nature of the game. And again, you can see how this forecast will develop later on today. City of boston, up through cape ann, i think cape ann more susceptible to a couple snow showers later. Boston maybe a flurry or the work but i dont expect much accumulating snow in the city of boston. Ill hold the accumulation down across coastal Plymouth County. Maybe a few towns close to scituate that get a coating or up to an inch of snow, but i think the main one to three batch would be across the cape. Isolated fourinch amounts not out of the realm of possibility. A steady band of some snow squalls develop, a couple towns see that. Its not usually all areas widespread down that way. So if youre watching from the cape, be careful. Some slick spots later on today and through the night tonight and into tomorrow morning. For the rest of us, its a cold wind developing and temperatures that are steady this morning will fall off a few degrees this afternoon. Forecast. 7 on average tomorrow morning. Cold start. Kris caught on camera, a daring river rescue in minnesota after man walks out on to thin ice literally trying to save a deer who was stuck. He was driving home when he spotted this animal in trouble in the frozen river. So the guy climbs out on to the thin ice and then eventually is able to pull the deer out. A video he took of this rescue despite the danger, he says hes happy he was able to help this animal out. I would have just ignored it, it would have eaten at me and i would have felt a sense of guilt. I would have kept thinking this for years to come that i should have rescued this deer. Nicole well, sarah, police are calling this an isolated incident, but the man accused of bringing several weapons here just hours before the start of the winter classic is expected to go before a judge later this morning. Now, according to police, they connecticut parked his car in an offsite parking lot for stadium employees. Police say in his car they found sword, a stun gun, a meat cleaver and other weapons. According to investigators, they say that bromson does not work here at gillette despite his car being in that employee parking lot. They say this is an isolated incident and added that there was no threat to fans who attended the winter classic. Hes now facing serious charges, including assault with a dangerous weapon. According to the district attorneys office; a 19yearold was shot on a bike path early sunday morning. He was then rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Boston police shutting down a section of Western Avenue in allston yesterday after finding a suspicious backpack. The bomb squad and a bombsniffing dog were called in to investigate. When officers opened up the backpack, they found nothing dangerous inside. Sarah happening today, a 21yearold woman accused of abducting a toddler will be in court. Abigail hannah is accused of abducting the twoyearold from hamilton back in november. She was the girls former baby sitter. Hannah was ordered to undergo a psychological examination and a judge is expected to rule today if shell be eligible to post bail. New details on a serious atv crash in fitchburg on new years eve. Family members say the two little boys injured in the crash are in stable condition this morning. The sevenyearold fractured his leg and will need more surgeries. A sixyearold was also hurt in the crash. The 32yearold man who lost his leg remains in critical condition. It was all hands on deck for globe employees sunday after many of them worked through the night delivering newspapers to their customers. A joy ride cut short for a man going more than 100mph on 93 in New Hampshire. Police clocked paul kimball going 105 in a 70mph zone. Officers say the 21yearold easily passed several vehicles before he was pulled over and arrested for reckless driving. Hell be back in court next month. Kris people in missouri returning to their home, seeing the damage done by the severe flooding there. Some people have not been back to their houses since before they were forced to leave nearly a week ago because of the floodwaters. Hundreds of buildings and bridges were damaged when the heavy rains caused a Mississippi River and its tributaries to swell to record flood stage levels last week. Most of the floodwaters have since receded. President obama has granted the governors request there for federal aid. Sarah Officials Say four men are dead after canoeing on a lake in wisconsin. Police received a missing persons call and found the canoe overturned in the lake. Officials say the men were last seen alive leaving a house near the lake around 2 00 a. M. Barre police are still investigating, but were told this stabbing victim ran nearly a mile after he was stabbed looking for help. Barre police were called out to the scene overnight. They say a man heard the victims cries and that man ran out to find him bleeding in the street. He called 911 and the victim was rushed to the hospital. Police found a car and the stabbing scene nearly a mile away. They were able to arrest one suspect. He will go before a judge later today. State police are helping out in the investigation. This morning there is no word on what led to this stabbing or what type of altercation may have taken place before any of this happened. As for the victim, he was rushed to the hospital. Police tell us that somebody in a neighborhood heard this man crying for help. This man ran out to find the victim bleeding in the street. He called 911. And the victim was rushed to the hospital. Police found a car and the stabbing scene nearly a mile away. They were able to arrest one suspect and he will go before a judge later today. State police are helping out in the investigation. No word on what led to this stabbing and what the possible motive was, what the situation was in the moments before all this happened. As for the victim, he was rushed to the hospital.
