Christa police were saying received an anonymous email threat. Victoria warren has more on precautions police are taking there this morning. Victoria good morning, christa. This is a second threat against Cambridge Public Schools this week alone. And police are taking this very seriously. The schools are open today, but theyre not taking any chances when it comes to the students safety. So the Cambridge School superintendent says all buildings have been locked and alarmed since 10 30 last night. Around 6 30 a. M. , police will do a detailed walkthrough of the schools. The threat was emailed in. It was an anonymous threat about a School Shooting directed specifically at the vaseline upper school, putnam avenue upper school and amigo school. At all schools today, police will be visible and everyone will have to use a supervised entrance. On tuesday there was an anonymous email threat about a bomb being placed, and that was directed at the middle schools in cambridge. Schools stayed open on tuesday, as well. Investigators identifying this man, sayed farook, as one of the two shooters who killed 14 people and wounded 17 more in a social Service Center in San Bernardino. A woman who Family Members say was his wife was also identified as a shooter. Police carrying out a raid at a home the couple is connected. To robots were spotted going inside the location and explosions were heard going off as authorities surrounded that area. The focus now turning to a motive behind the shooting rampage. Christa its what everybody wants to know. In a late night News Conference, we heard from a Family Member of one of the shooters. We have so much to cover for you this morning. Lets begin with 7s nancy chen. Nancy, you have more information on the suspects for us. Nancy christa, were learning more about this married couple. Friends say sayed farook went to saudi arabia earlier this year and came back with a wife. The pair recently had a baby and why they went on this deadly rampage. This morning were getting our first look at one of the suspected gunmen, 28yearold sayed farook. Police say he and 27yearold wife were killed in a shootout with police. Were comfortable that the two shooters that went into the building are the two shooters deceased on San Bernardino avenue. Nancy the f. B. I. Raided a home believed to be connected to the couple. An Armored Police vehicle took out the front door to allow swat team members to get inside. Officers say a tip led them to the home earlier in the day where they say they found the suspects vehicle. Following a chase, shots were fired and the suspects were killed. According to police, farook was attending a Holiday Party at the Inland Regional Center earlier in the day when he became upset. Investigators say he left the event but returned with malik a short time later. According to police, the pair and injuring 17. Police say farook and malik were armed with two four weapons including two assault rifles. There had to be some degree of planning. I dont think they ran home, grabbed guns and came back on a spur of the moment thing. Nancy farooks brother in law is in shock. Our condolences to the people who lost their life. Im very sad that people lost their lives and there are victims out there. I wish a speedy recovery to them, and again, i am in shock that Something Like this could happen. Nick workers inside the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino hid in closets and locked their office doors fearing for their safety after the shooters opened fire. Next thing you know, we hear this big boom and it kept on going and going. It was bad. Nick Family Members with loved ones inside felt hopeless. Nick their cell phones were the only way to know if their loved ones were inside. Shooting at my work. People shot. In my office waiting for cops. Nick this mother and daughter found out their daughter was inside from a text message. The swat team is on site trying to secure the building. Im in a tiny room with a bunch of people. Overnight Police Continue to search a home in a nearby town heavily Armored Vehicles knocking down doors and a bomb robot was seen working in and around the house. The shooting happened at a social Services Center during a Holiday Party wednesday morning. Officials say farook left that party abruptly after an altercation and then came back and started shooting. He and malik were later shot and killed by police after a pursuit involving a black s. U. V. Nearly two dozen Police Officers opened fire on that vehicle. Police say they had spotted that vehicle driving by a home they were searching connected to farook. It suddenly took off when the driver spotted police. Next thing you know, they started fighting. I guess the girl got stabbed. Nicole police havent confirmed what happened, but they found her lying on the sidewalk left to die. Officers have Surveillance Video showing the attack and say theyre looking for two people. Hills family says the mother of three was a singer who attended berkeley and suffered from mental illness. Cambridge police say schools will be open today, but there will be a heavy Police Presence at all Cambridge Schools throughout the day. Theyre also doing a before they open. Staff and students will also be required to enter through a supervised front entrance. Police believe the threats today are from the same person who made threats against the schools on tuesday. And we continue to follow breaking news on the mass shooting in california. Several new developments coming to light from overnight, suspects. Nancy . Nancy christa, police say they believe both shooters are dead. The suspects were killed by officers hours after the shooting. Officers have identified the shooters as 28yearold sayed farook and 27yearold tashfeen malik. According to Family Members, farook and malik were married and had a sixmonthold baby together that they dropped off at a grandmothers house yesterday. Farook was born in the United States. Police say he worked as an Public Health department. Late last night the f. B. I. Searched a home in redlands that was believed to be connected to farook and malik. An Armored Vehicle took out the front door and used a robot to search for explosives. Officials were concerned there might be booby traps inside that house. The police chief says hes not sure the couple had been living in that home prior to wednesdays shooting. Police say the two killed 14 people, injured 17 during that shooting at the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino. Farook had been attending a Holiday Party there on wednesday. Officers say he became angry and left before returning with his wife a short time later. According to investigators, the couple had been armed with semiautomatic handguns and assault rifles. Opening statements were made and prosecutors called their first witness to the stand wednesday. Delays of about five minutes in foxborough. This is on 95 northbound right at route 140. And then were still keeping an eye on this accident in randolph at 24 northbound at 128. Thats causing a delay of about 25 minutes on route 24 northbound. The expressway, the slow drive into boston, and then route 93 southbound is slow, especially in wilmington. Youre slow all the way into boston. Route 1 not too bad. The pike a little bit slow as you approach the tolls. But from 495 to boston, slow through framingham, as well. Cambridge police say schools will be open today, but there will be a heavy Police Presence at all Cambridge Schools throughout the day. Theyre also doing a walkthrough of all the schools before they even open. Staff and students will also be required to enter through a supervised front entrance. Investigators identified the suspects overnight. They are a married couple who have been killed in a gun battle with police. But the death toll from the shooting stands at 14 this morning. Relatives say the couple had a baby who was dropped off at the grandmothers house before a shooting. Overnight Police Continued to search a home in nearby redlands that they say is connected to farook. Heavily Armored Vehicles knocking down doors and a bomb robot was seen working in and around the house. The shooting happened at a social Services Center during a Holiday Party on wednesday. Officials say farook left that party abruptly after an altercation and then came back shortly after and started shooting. He and malik were later shot and killed by police after a pursuit involving a black s. U. V. Nearly two dozen Police Officers opened fire on that vehicle. Police say they spotted that were searching connected to farook. And it suddenly took off when the driver spotted police. Before kids and teachers arrive at schools, theyre searching the schools. Thats happening now at the putnam avenue upper school. Specifically named in the threat. They were walking through the school using a k9. All of this stems from an email threat that the superintendent received yesterday saying that somebody was going to shoot at the Cambridge Schools today. So the School Buildings have been locked and alarmed since 10 30 last night up until the walkthroughs here. The threat was emailed in. It was an anonymous threat about a School Shooting directed specifically at the vassal lane upper school, putnam avenue upper school, and amigos school. Now at all schools today police will be visible and everyone will have to use a supervised entrance, so they are keeping the schools open. This is the second threat this week alone. On tuesday there was an email schools. School stayed open that kay, as well, and police say at this point they do believe these two separate threats are connected investigation. Searched a home in redlands connected to farook and malik. An Armored Vehicle took out the front door and robots were used to search for explosives. Officials were concerned there might be some booby traps inside that house. The police chief says the shooters were armed with semiautomatic handguns and assault rifles. Based upon what we have seen and based upon how they were equipped, there had to be some degree of planning that went into this. So i dont think they just ran home, put on these types of tactical clothes, grabbed guns and came back on a spur of the moment thing. Workers inside the inland bernardino scrambled to get to safety when shots rang out. They locked their office doors and hid in closets. One witness says it sounded like a gun range with a lot of shots being fired. Workers say as they were just going about their daily routines when the shooters walked in and opened fire. It was like a normal day, and next thing you know we hear this big boom and it kept on going and going. It was bad.
