Another teacher tells me that apparently, this happened in a chemistry or science classroom. A problem with hydrochloric acid and fumes that caused the students to complain they were feeling sick. Fire trucks and ambulances line the street outside the citys high school after more than twodozen students complain they were sickened by acid fumes in the classroom. We had 17 students complaining of some symptoms. Like headache, nausea. Anybody transported . We are transporting 17. Reporter out of an abundance of caution . More caution than anything else. Report tt fumes came from hydrochloric acid used in the classroom. Something apparently, went wrong with the equipment used to handle the acid. Machine. Usually, they said it does vent.
