Its just like a traffic signaling system or an air Traffic Control system. It tells you whether its okay for the trains to safely travel along the when this system particularly one goes out it has an enormous impact because trains cant get in and out of south station. As we all know, that is the main station for the southern part of the mbta Commuter Rail system. Everybody else looking to catch their train is being told youve got to go somewhere else. The back bay, forest his and t. Which is very crowded because theyre joining the regular t. Riders so theyre facing a crowd and delayed t. To get to the train which will pick them up elsewhere. So just a terrible tough ride in and now a terrible tough ride home as well.
