record. the records go back to 1871. this is 19.6 degrees above average. we're blowing it away. 9.6 degrees above average. ten degrees plus warmer than last spring by this time. what a season it's been. lot of this reflects the warmth we saw during march. and really a pretty warm weather map except for this little area of cooler temperatures with warm air running up around it. the cool air is what comes in here tomorrow. 53 in the twin cities. that's the little downturn we have tomorrow. instead of near 70 degree temperatures we'll be in the low 60s. lots of blue on this map. lots of negative numbers. winds are light tonight. west at 5. dew point 43. gives you an idea where the temperatures will wind up by morning. humidity 52%. off the charts today. that's the word from our dr. lea. and the group, grashs moderate high tree pollen. welsh these are temperatures. here are the dew points. highland park here in the city. again, in a clear sky light wind situation, we won't have totally clear skies tonight. but close enough to it that those dew points give you an idea of where the temperatures will go. here you see that scattering of clouds that develop. if we lay the radar in daytime heating causes these things to explode. as the sun sets they made away. you can see the coverage is far less tonight than it was earlier this afternoon. once we heat up tomorrow, one more day right on the nose of this jet stream and under this cool air pool where there's enough instability, we may get a couple showers. then this thing blows off to the east. we begin to warm up later in the week in a nice fashion. again, you see these clouds collapsing with the coolness of the night. briet light towering clouds fade away and our model picks up on that. couple sprinkles around in spots tonight. but tomorrow we start with a sun/cloud mix. daytime heating leads to this display of showers that will pop up during the day. 20%, 30% of the area gets in on that before the showers fade away and we go through the rest of the week under sunshine and with warmer temperatures. the next seven days we'll see only about .11 of rain compared to 3.7 inches in the last 14 days around here. and 4.8 degrees above normal for next week. as we head into the nato summit here in chicago. looks like it will be a warm weekend. tomorrow high pressure and low pressure combine to produce tomorrow's winds. they will be light. this thing comes over us thursday so the winds really fade out. then a return flow of some out to the west. strong southerly winds. that will pump temperatures by friday up to about 70 degrees. look at the readings, as a matter of fact. tomorrow 50s. we go the day after. you'll see the 70, upper 60s show up right there. 80s in the plains states. that's what will provide the 70s by the time they get here later in the week. cool off on saturday. warm back up again early next week. could get warm and humid later next week. forecast partly cloudy. just a bit
