A young man and a teenager were wounded after a shooting near a high school in South Suburban dolton. Authorities say a group of people were walking near the intersection of 152nd and champlain street yesterday evening. Thats when a black minivan pulled up to the group and opened fire. The victims ran to Thornridge High School for help. The began firing about five or six shots at the group. The group scattered. Two subjects ran back to the high school where a basketball game was occurring in the gym. The 20yearold man was shot in the thigh, and the 17year old boy was shot in the stomach. Kenneth bardlett of bellwood is charged with first degree murder, for the death of hussein saghir. He was shot and killed during an attempted robbery by two men outside sams tobacco and food mart on january 19th. Prosecutors did not say how bardlett was involved. The other suspect has not been arrested. A meat cleaver was a key piece of evidence, as prosecutors began laying out their case that a former chicago policeman plotted to murder a suburban businessman. They say, Steven Mandell planned to extort money from steven campbell, then torture him at a building on west devon, and chop up his body with the meat cleaver. A student at northwestern filed a federal lawsuit claiming the university didnt take appropriate action when she reported a Sexual Assault by a professor. She says the professor got her drunk, took her to his apartment and sexually assaulted her in 2012. The student tried to kill herself two days after the alleged attack.
