Officers tell us they found drugs and more than 1,000 in cast in russell pennas car this morning. When officers tried to arrest penna, they say he took a bag of heroin out of his pants, tore it open and threw it at them. The officers were treated for exposure to narcotics. Penna has been charged with two counts of attempted murder. We are waiting to learn the name of the victim hit and killed while walking on 128 if waltham last night. Police dont know why the pedestrian was walking in the second t busy highway near exit 26. Several cars hit the victim. All of those drivers did stop, and no one else was hurt. The Downtown Crossing location is the latest to be hit in this scam, that steals credit card information. The reporter it was discovered last months, these skimmers are small, theyre about the size of a deck of cards and they can be placed over credit card readers to steal the data on those strips. But once thieves have that, they can use that information to make purchases. Bostons primark wasnt alone. The company says they also discovered skimmers in king of prussia, danbury, connecticut, and free hold, new jersey. Primark says the skimmers were removed the same day they were discovered. They believe the scam could have been begun targeting shoppers on july 29th. Not all credit Card Transactions during that time were affected, locations between july and october, you really should check your credit card statements and also take a look at your credit records. Primark says they dont store any information on their machines and none of their internal systems were accessed. We spoke about the scam with shoppers in Downtown Crossing today. According to Court Documents, Boston Police were aware back in here that were chronic drug users, and that according to these documents, investigators had witnessed at least two employees buying drugs in the past. Just five weeks after kevin maddox and Robert Higgins were killed after their trench collapse and flooded, they busted a 45yearold man driving an atlantic drain dump truck to buy cocaine. Investigators had been keeping an eye on atlantic drain for some time. According to Court Documents, police say numerous employees of investigators have witnessed two different employees purchased illegal narcotics. Police say revel was using narcotics out of the atlantic drain yard and atlantic drain dump truck. Revels passengers told passengers he purchased the crack cocaine earlier if the day from someone in the atlantic drain yard. We took the accusations to we hsbc arena called the companys attorney.
