9yearold cousin, who they claimed called his mother from the beach to notify him he was missing before notifying city officials. The Police Commissioner says they are conflicting reports about where kyzer was last seen. We had a lot of little kids telling us different things, so it was hard to sort out what actually happened, but i know, we tried our hardest, you know, both on land, we had choppers up and unfortunately around 7 00 p. M. , we made the worst discovery we could, and that was the young child in the reporter just before that News Conference, the miracle meet with willis mayor did meet with Willis Family, they were completely devastated, but willis grandfather says regarding the review of safety protocol, anything that could be changed that could save another childs life would be a positive effect from this entire tragic situation. Were live in south boston, Katherine Burcham, fox 25 news. Vanessa we want to give you a better idea now of the her son off at the camp around 9 45 a. M. That camp opens up at 10 00 a. M. Kyzer was last seen four hours later between 2 05 p. M. And 2 15 p. M. At first police thought he may have wandered out the door before heading west away from the day camp. Police are still working to determine where he was last seen. Right now the reports are very conflicting. The first call we know was made to 911 at 2 49 p. M. The Police Commissioner says crews were dispatched right away. Kyzers mother her son shortly before 3 00 p. M. And sadly kyzers body was found in the water not too far from that camp more than three hours later at 7 09 p. M. By the Boston Police marine unit. Mark fox 25 Investigative ReporterEric Rasmussen spent the day digging in so how socalled dropin centers work, hes live at city hall where the mayor says more than 24 hours later, the details of what happened here, theyre still in question and this particular program ends at 2 30 p. M. In the vanished around the time he would have been going home. The reporter thats right, ock, and these programs, we are told, start about 10 30 a. M. In the morning, its not clear if little kyzer was there all day long, but again, as youve pointed out and as Katherine Burcham mentioned, the timeline here is still one of the key elements of this case. We just walked out of the mayors News Conference and his Conference Room up here on the fifth floor at city hall. Even he not ready to go any further than what weve already reported about the timeline of events, or where this little was last seen. In fact, the mayor himself at this point quoting media reports, not ready to even say what his own investigators in in and and this Police Department have found about where this little boy disappeared and exactly when it was noticed. For its part, the Massachusetts State Police earlier today told me they believe he could have been missing as little as 15 minutes before that 911 call was made. Mark this is a free dropin camp. How is that different from a typical camp . Theyre not overnight and there are a lot of them. We learned today there are about 50 dropin Camp Locations around boston, as you mentioned, they are free, theyre often available to families in need, and in this case, we know there were a number of kids there, more than 50 yesterday, so its one of those where its a short amount of time that they have to spend for the day before theyre pick up and taken home. Mark i would imagine the numbers fluctuate from daytoday as well. Some days they drop in, the reporter absolutely. Mark do we know who was in charge here . The reporter well, as we mentioned at the top of this newscast, we know there is a director of the Curley Community Center who was placed on administrative leave. Its important to note that this Community Center has many programs for both children and adults, teenagers there, so we know that person was placed on administrative leave, but a couple other interesting points. Theres also a supervisor and something of around assistants supervisor. After that, we learned that counselors at this particular location for this particular youth camp. Now those are people between 15 and 18 years opened, so were not old, so were not in some cases talking about adults. We looked up the requirements for the day camps, theyre required to have a 110 rate or, one counselor for every ten campers. They obviously had more than that, but theres still issues to look into here to see exactly who was looking after the little boy. Mark Eric Rasmussen at city hall for us this afternoon. The clouds are far to the north. Well have to tackle what that front is going to do in just a moment, but your low temperatures tonight in the 60s to about 70. Just mildly humid in some spots. More so in southeastern massachusetts. But also cooler there. So its going to figure to be a pretty nice looking nice, a nice start to your day tomorrow. Plenty of sunshine, a few clouds start to move on in and that southwesterly wind thats blowing on in here, increases the humidity more tomorrow and as the front of showers and thunderstorms start to pop up in central and Southern New Hampshire and vermont and a couple isolated showers possible in southern new england. This has been going backandforth on some of our computer model charts, but we continue to believe the highest risk of Severe Weather is where the charts are showing it. Of this may actually go farther north toward the north shore and something weep be tracking step by step into friday. The bottom line is that is good news. We need so much rain, we may get some of it at least for a good portion on friday. All of it moves out to start the weekend and cooling it down.
