Sarah i was looking at some of the threats we could the later stages of our Holiday Weekend and sure enough on sunday into monday is with well start to notice the winds perhaps picking up and the possibility of even some heavy rain, really depends on how far north that track makes it, but nonetheless, i do think our highest threat of impacts from the storm will be the high surf and the rip currents. If you are planning on heading to the beaches, there may be some dry times, but there is that threat out in the water. And there are Tropical Storm watches now in effect for long island for long island sound, we continue to have the Tropical Storm warning though from just south of the d. C. Area, all the way down the coast, because this is where hermine is right now. It is providing a lot of rain across South Carolina and north carolina, and will continue to do so through the overnight hours. As the Tropical Storm with winds about 50 Miles Per Hour, it is moving to the northeast, at about 18 miles an hour, and that will push this storm off of the coast by saturday, it will weaken some, and it is forecast to just hang england. And that is really going to keep conditions pretty treacherous along our coastal locations.
