The victim provided police with information that led to the capture and are of a angel mateo, 21 years old. A bullet went flying through his bedroom but his mom says its violence in the area, and her eighth grade son juan agrees. Still in pain, juan delgado is now home from the hospital, the bullet still launched in his shoulder. Doctors unable to take it out because of the swelling. Hes home from school for two weeks and will have to have surgery later to remove it. But hes still reliving memories from that night. The latest of the string of shootings, a 2yearold girl in roxbury was shot while sitting in her car seat. Police believe her father was the target. They say hes a gang member and not cooperating. The girl is expected to recover. No arrests have been made but Police Released surveillance pictures of a person of interest. Playing on a roxbury playground that happened at a family party early in the morning. Police tell us Surveillance Video caught the shooting and two men driving off, no arrest were made and the girl is expected to recover. New at 11 00, Natick Police are searching for seven people they say stole 19 phones from an apple store. You can see the girl walking inside the natick mall last night. Police tell us they went directly to the apple store, surrounded the area where iphones are on display, you can see the group run out of the store. Police believe they may be connected to a similar theft in hingham just a few weeks ago. Quincy Police Released these pictures in hopes of capturing a group of men who they say broke into a local landmark. Police tell fox 25 the men broke into the historic uss salem on october 9th. This video has Police Investigating a case of animal neglect. We got the video into our newsroom as a tip. It was a groomer who called police. Tonight malini basu spoke to groomers about the condition of that dog, what it was in after years of neglect. She smelled like urine and poop. The groomers were told that the when he went to visit her she was in deplorable condition. Reporter Lexington Police are now investigating this as neglect. Meanwhile the groomers refuse to give her back and now left with the vet bills and caring for her like their own dogs. I really hope that he is okay. Because this is very, very once again tonight, no charges have been filed. For now, we are in lexington, malini basu, fox 25 news. Governor Charlie Baker signed a new law today to protect firefighters and help prevent deadly fires. The state will create a commission. The study will regulate the welding and hot works industry. The legislation comes more than two years after lieutenant ed fire in the back bay. The investigation found the fire was caused by welding work done without a city permit. That day at beacon street, it could have been prevented if this was already put in place, and two firefighters could be alive today. The commission has until june to report back to state lawmakers on whether tighter regulations are needed. Two teenaged brothers in derry New Hampshire chased away a man who tried to break into their home. Police arrested david mccomer near the the brothers say he tried to kick in a door and injured him while doing so. When they opened the door, he tried to run away but did get very far because of the injury. Police believe mccomer broke into another home nearby as well. 1 billion expansion project at Childrens Hospital will move forward despite protests against tearing up a nearby healing garden. Wont be a lot of rain left in the morning but theres more in the forecast definitely, and not everyone is getting the rain right now but in some places its coming down hard. Lets talk about this. This is live stormtracker radar. Not much happening out in worcester county, even anything beyond 495. But youll find some heavier showers, but even there its not for everyone. Here in whitman, southwood to bridgewater, were seeing heavy rain happen right now. Northwest of boston through somerville, arlington, lexington, waltham, the yellow and orange showing up where some of the heaviest rain is falling right now. To the northshore through lynn and marblehead seeing some rain. Lynnfield has a heavy downpour coming through. These are lighter but showers showing up on the north now from haverhill eventual dracut and ipswich and boxford thats interchange near andover. So there is some heavy rain out there. Its spotty but its there. To our west heavier rain. Even thunderstorms, Severe Weather lang this front. Its all pushing more north than east. Its going to be held up because we have a stream of moisture come from the south and a little bit of low pressure or storminess on it thats going to produce some more heavy rain tomorrow and hold up that front. So by the morning much of what youre seeing out there right now will push by to the north. There will still be drizzle or in behind the front producing showers tonight. Theres the rainshower activity that could be around at anytime. You remember how that is in the summer when you get a tropical air mass and get a downpour just about anytime. Thats what well be dealing with. Where the mainstream of the tropical air does set up tomorrow is where the heaviest rain will be, most likely eastern massachusetts. Perhaps bleeding over into central mass, mostly 495 and easter where the heaviest rain will fall through the evening tomorrow. Evening drive. Gonna be a mess, and through the late night hours get a break again by saturday morning. Well get back to that in a moment. Worcester, hour by hour in the 50s. Actually rising in the Morning Hours up through the 60s. Some sun could poke out but mostly cloudy tomorrow. Same thing for boston. Temperature holding steadier, rising overnight as the warm front comes past and we get into muggier air. High temperatures tomorrow, upper 60s to low 70s. Get the sun to poke out in fitchburg and up into the mid70s. Most will be in the low 70s. Newport, reading for instance, likely to have rain around the area with temperatures in the 60s. Potentially some heavy rain during that time period. Fastforward to saturday, after a break in the morning, another storm system against that front thats coming across, pushes into the area producing a few showers. The heaviest to the west and here comes the cold air, changing raindrops to snowflakes in the hilly terrain. It is not going to snow in boston. But the worcester hills may see a few flurries, anything thats going to accumulate will be up here in the mountains and in the new england.
