Reporter Mass State Police tell fox 25 that the driver 25yearold Jose Perez Rodriguez of everett was eroding troopers who were trying to stop him on foot when he drove on the wrong side of the road striking the trooper. I pulled into the median and i ran up to the trooper first. He laying face down. He he wasnt saying anything. Reporter the trooper was initially unconscious suffering from serious injuries. I shook his legs a few times saying sir a lot of blood on the ground from his head area. Reporter the motorcyclist was also injured. Burns said he rushed over to him next. He agreed he pulled them out. I pulled the motorcyclists arms together. Reporter Chris Mcdonald and other witnesses gathered as the motorcyclist tried to get up. To leave. When he came too he was like i didnt do anything wrong. Im a good person. I have my permits. Reporter the trooper will survive his injuries. The state trooper was doing his job and i hope hes okay. Reporter again that trooper does have some serious lacerations and contusions and remains in the hospital right now but is expected to recover just fine. Charges now several parents and students we spoke with they want to know why this allegations are coming out now. Were talking about more than a month after the arrest. They recognizing thats mary delie speaking at a committee meeting. Now she finds herself in hot water. Fox 25 has learned that state Police Arrested her on august 25th for o. U. I. Operating under the influence. I dont think its a great example to set for the kids. Reporter state police will only confirm that she was arrested and provide no other details. Parents we spoke with are fuming because this news arrest. It should have been taken care of back in august. They were just last year about the promise and kids no drinking and driving and that kind of stuff. Here she is she gets picked up for it. Its kind of a slap in the face. This comes out on the heels of the physical Education Teacher who was arrested. One teacher back in school now this comes out. Reporter thats about superintendents arrest. She allowed him back on the job just a few days after. Which is even crazier. Reporter parents are even more upset that delie was allowed to make that decision while no one even knew about her o. U. Brockton mill issued a stearn statement this weekend regarding multiple fights at Brockton High School leading to eight arrests. Police say most of these fights at the end of last week were incidents. We will not allow them as conduct with a handful of students to disrupt the learning of over 99 of our students who are there to take advantage of all the opportunities of Brockton High School. School officials arent sure what caused the violence. They think it may have to do with a post often social media. A total of 16 students were suspended. It may impact us by next weekend. Taking a look at the tropics we have major Hurricane Matthew right now. Category four. Wind speeds of 145 miles per hour. 11 00 p. M. Update now moving to the north. It was moving more towards progression very slowly and we also have new warnings in place. Hurricane warnings now for parts of the bahamas. The expected path is going to allow for haiti, jamaica, as well as cuba and parts of the Dominican Republic get some pretty impacted with winds as well as very heavy rainfall. Parts of haiti and the Dominican Republic could see rainfall amounts up to 40 inches in some isolated spots. Thats likely going to lead to some mudslides as well as some flooding rains out there. Inches of rain and parts of cuba up to 20. Parts of the bahamas up to 15 inches. So a lot of moisture packing with this storm. The track does keep it a major hurricane as it pushes on through the caribbean. By tuesday noticing 120 milesperhour winds a category three adz pushes through the bahamas. Notice the time spam this is by late week it does week as it gets closer to the southeast areas of the united states. Doesnt make landfall per se watch the track because some of the models are suggesting it makes a close approach and noticing all of these lines here indicating some of the models attempt to push off to the southeast. Which is a new trend just starting today. Well have to watch and see if that continues. If that does some of the impacts here by next weekend.
