Fox 25s Robert Goldston there was as it wrapped up and he has details on how it all began. Reporter the scene was intense along route 28 in mashpee. Police were checking on a 41yearold man at audiovisual solutions. They say he was clearly distraught when they arrived and quickly learned he was armed with high powered rifles. During the initial standoff at least one shot was fired. That round it does not appear at this time it was at officers. Reporter Police Brought in swat and negotiators. They were able to clear the rest of the building where there were other companies. They say the mans friends and family helped during the negotiations. After hours of talking to him he agreed to surrender peacefully. This is video of him being brought to a hospital by police. The chief says the situation was challenging for everyone.
