It can go to different places in the body, for example, to your lungs and cause pneumonia. Athletes in particular athletes involved in contact sport are visible vulnerable especially vulnerable to mrsa infections because one of the chief ways its spread is through skin to skin contact. So any sport that has lots of physical contact gives you opportunity for skin to skin contact. Its also activities where you could have minor cuts or the mrsa bacteria can then get inside and cause the infection.
