Fox25 has learned that the troopers including one lieutenant were assigned to the state Police Armory section that handles selection, control and operational readiness of all lethal and nonlethal weapons. A spokesperson tell us an internal investigation reviewing the surplus of weapons. The three Department Members have been suspended without pay investigation proceeds. We also learned that the state attorney general will review the findings of the investigation to decide on any criminal charges. Today a judge expected to decide if Boston Police officers will be forced to wear body cameras. Comes as selftop cops stepped up and roll tier the cameras. Court resumes at 9 00 this checking after that to eif any decision has come down. The commissioner hoped to start this program on monday. And he has made that announcement that eight of the citys top cops will be participating. And originally this program was slated to begin september 2. That, however, didnt happen because the program was supposed to be volunteer and no one roll tiered to wear the cameras. That prompted Boston Police commissionered which yam evans an a consultant to assign. And the citys Largest Police unified a lawsuit to temporarily stop the program saying it violated the as both sides stopped the judges decision, having his command staff wear the cameras will show accountability and he says instances where having the cameras would have been useful like earlier this week. It got very heated and the crowd broke a window on us. That would have been nice to have it on camera. Superintendentinchief is among those that will wear the camera. He volunteered weeks ago and did wear a camera to a City Council Meeting last month the program.
