I found pills in his hope. He did get arrested for having marijuana and he was involved with a court drug program. He had a wonderful counselor. We were trying so hard to help him. He was trying yell ray hard to stay clean. It was really hard for him. You know, eye actually done a lot of stories on this myself. Is it surprising how bad of it is. I learned things that i never knew, that it can really happen and can happen quickly. Thats why im part of the nope task force and being able to talk to kids at schools so make sure it does not happen. Reporter why is it important to make sure that your son is not just a statistic it. To honor his memory. She had him talk about his feelings. One of the notes he wrote was, if i could, i would show kids or tell kids how to not live life i wish someone had told me before it was too late. Thats why i speak to the kids. It was too late by the time he had the addiction. One the message within nope is for the kids to be the hero and to tell someone if overdosing. Drew was with someone else that night. And they didnt get help. So we want other kids to know what they can do if we see someone he is exhibiting signs of overdose. So that the education part is, i feel, very important. Im motivated by being involved in that. Real quickly, how can the public help in this effort . Well, they can help by at the historical Hillsborough High School this coming thursday night. There is a memory wall. It honors those who have lost their lives through addiction and to helpless en the sigma.
