Reporter this all started saturday afternoon when two Police Officers stopped two people in a carton citys north side. Both people in that car started running away. Officers started chasing them and during that chase a 23 year old man who was armed and would not drop his weapon when he was asked. Shortly after, large crowds turned to the streets to protest the shooting. Some people threw things at police cars leaving one officer hospitalized watch a brick hit him in the head. Protesters also started setting buildings on fire. Able to escape. Police believe the suspect was wielding a handgun that was stolen in a burglary in march. As it turned it, the gun was a stolen gun. The officer didnt know it at the time but there were 23 rounds in that gun. Twentythree rounds in the gun that that officer was staring at.
