Right now tampa police are searching for a shooter who hit eight people at a tampa club killing one of them. Breaking news yesterday morning. Now more than 24 hours later and still no one in custody, but we are getting updates. Mary mcguire is joining us live at tampa police headquarters. Mary, let us get up to date, what are the Police Telling you, any leads to go by . The police tell me they have made no arrests in this case yet but that the detectives are poring over the evidence they gathered and trying to put together a suspect description they can release. They have released the name and identity of the man killed yesterday. That is Marvin Lancaster iii. Hes of brandon and 31 years old. We have a video of the club. It was recorded on the appear ris scope which allows users to live broadcast videos over the internet. This captures the moments before the phone drops to the ground. We spoke to a woman who was in the club and talks about the chaotic scene. It was a lot of people running and, i mean, quite naturally people are going to run, stomping on each other trying to get out the door. Now in the end a total of eight people were shot, four men and three women were wounded. Ranging in age from 17 to 32. Investigators told me that their injuries range from very serious to nonlifethreatening. We know the most serious patients were taken to Tampa General Hospital and others were taken to st. Josephs. Were trying to get the most updated condition for those patients. No, we still do not have a description of the potential shooter in this case but police have released the identity of the man shot early yesterday morning. His name is Marvin Lancaster iii. Hes 21 years old and he was from brandon. I want to talk about some periscope video that has emerged from this case. Periscope is an app that allows you to livestream video over the internet and the police taken from inside the club at the time of the shooting. It has been circulating on social media and captures the moments before the gunman opened fire and multiple shots. The phone drops to the ground and tpd confirms theyre looking at this video from inside the club. Someone was recording in the club and we would like to take a look at that.
