Tonights recipient of the music innovators award, presented by chevrolet, are two guys i have been fans of forever, back from when they were with the time. I was such a fan of the time that i remember getting terry lewis autograph when i was like 12 years old. These guys are probably the only musicproduction team that are household names and created the soundtrack of my youth. If you know just be good to me, control, rhythm nation, saturday love, and fake, then you know jimmy jam and [ cheers and applause ] as players, songwriters, and producers, these brothers did it all. And through their philanthropic efforts, theyre working to make sure the music stays vital for the next generation. Take a look. James Samuel Harris ii and Terry Steven Lewis together, they make up the grammy awardwinning duo jimmy jam and terry lewis.
