Over meyer, the sheriff since 2003 was investigated after concerns of how he was handling the prescription drop boxes. He was taking drugs from the boxes for five months last year and on top of that, the investigation showed he altered records and department and deceived various doctors to get drugs and he asked for percocet, hydrocodeine and oxycodeine between april 2014 and january 2015. The 24page indictment said the five counts stem from the sheriff filing false financial reports. Were told that he is expected to appear in court today for an arraignment hearing and were newschannel 5. And it you. This morning, police in cincinnati investigating a rash of heroin overdosesd in the tristate area. At least there are the were reported with know 24 hours yesterday. Three people overdosed in one house and one man overdosed while driving during an intersection and another with his kid in the car at a gas station. Fire crews worked quickly to save as many lives as they could and officers are not sure what is causing the spike in and people time now, 6 05. And right now, the Teachers Union and distribute are trying to avoid a strike and there is a meeting with the federal mediator nextmond. Monday. The teachers are fighting for more money. The northbound lanes are getting by without an issue. He was just booked into jail overnight, accused of stealing pain pills for meg shaw. Live in yeah, we are hours away from an a mainment hearing for Sandusky County sheriff, kyle over mer. The 42yearold sher overmyer. He was indicted on 43 charges during a hearing. Of the 43 charges, 38 of them are felonies. And overmyer is the sheriff here in Sandusky County since 2003 and he was investigated after six local Police Chiefs claim hes behind prescription boxes. He improperly collected boxes from april to august of last year. Now, some of the 38 felony charges include the seating positions and pharmacists to obtain prescription drugs, tampering with records, theft, and theft in office between 1 and 7,000. The 24page indictment said overmyer was deceived of various positions between april 2014 and january of 2015. In 9 separate cases, he asked oxycodeine. The indictments following a sevenmonth investigation by the Delaware County special prosecutor. Now, he is expected to appear in court today.
