How is that guard doing, nick . Reporter jackie, this is where the guard was brought with serious injuries last night to akron general after being stabbed. Were told by akron police he underwent surgery for the injuries last night, but its unknown on his condition this morning. This happened at summa healthcare saint thomas hospital. As the patient was being transported there to the 5th floor psyche ward. Were told the 54yearold patient pulled out a knife and stabbed the guard in the stick and neck. The 33yearold patient had two knives on him and its unknown how he got the knives in his possession. Now, summa healthcare didnt speak to us on camera, but they released a statement saying in part that a member of on ur team was injured during an unprovoked attack and our thoughts are with the officer now and his family.
