Peterson says he sustained some 20 minutes of against my licensure for. Ultimately no good reason. He says the sheriff took issue with information released on the death of Terrill Thomas. And also. This tweet from oct 28th. Advising the public of an overnight death in the jail. Peterson also said in the email the sheriff was furious that any information had been released on a nondisclosure case. Peterson then cited an email sent to me as proof of no wrongdoing. Saying the mes office sent nothing inflammatory and all in accord responded to petersons concerns over losing his license. Sending an email that reads in part. We obviously have your back. Unfortunately our office is no stranger to his bullying behavior. We checked with the state licensing board which sayscomplaints are not public record. So they cannot confirm or deny that one was filed by the sheriff. The Sheriffs Office did reach out to the county executive via emailsaying they have the whole phone conversation recorded. The county executive requested a copy of that recording. And never got a response. 3 two families are suing to get their hands on more information about what happened behind bars. This, after reports of poor care and staffing issues at the facilities. The of correction is operated by the county. The audit will not look into any of the four deaths that have occured this year at the jail. Instead, we learned from the county comptroller the review will focus on the overall management of the jails. County Board Members are upset they were not notified sooner about the costs. The county board says that the time between 2009 and now resulted in a dramatically larger lump sum payment because of an Interest Rate of 8 annually. We got a hold of these emails today and found out the chief medical examiner says he was threatened by the sheriff after releasing information back in octoberwe were the first tv station to report that four deaths happened inside the Milwaukee County jail this year. In an email sent to county executive chris abele on october 29th. Peterson says he sustained some 20 minutes of yelling and threats against my ce good reason. He says the sheriff took issue with information released on the death of Terrill Thomas. And also. This tweet from oct 28th. Advising the public of an overnight death in the jail. Peterson also said in the email the sheriff was furious that any information had been released on a nondisclosure case. Peterson then cited an email sent to me as proof of no wrongdoing. Saying the mes office sent nothing inflammatory and all in accord with open records statutes. The county Executives Office responded to petersons that reads in part. We obviously have your back. Unfortunately our office is no stranger to his bullying behavior. We checked with the state licensing board which sayscomplaints are not public record. So they cannot confirm or deny that one was filed by the sheriff. The Sheriffs Office did reach out to the county executive via emailsaying they have the whole phone conversation recorded. The county executive requested a copy of that recording. And never got a response. These latest revelations cap a turbulent week for Milwaukee Countys leading Law Enforcement officer. Officer. A few days ago, sheriff clarke was seen entering an elevator at trump tower. On his way up for a meeting with the president elect about a possible job in his administration. Clarke left without taking any questions. Yesterday, Milwaukee County supervisor supreme Moore Omokunde called for clarke to resign, citing the deaths in the jail. Now comes word that a jail
