Its been a political fight between sheriff david clark this weekend. Weekend. Cbs 58s julie parise is live at the courthouse where a decision will likely be made later today. Julie . Later this afternoon were expecting a Milwaukee County circuit judge to rule on the restraining order that keeps sheriff david clark from closing sherman park earlier. Normal park hours keep the park open until 10 pm but since last months unrest, the park has been closing early. At 6 o clock. This fight came to a head this weekend when the sheriff and county executive fought over the bright ore clarke had that fence put up after last months unrest near the park. County exec abele wanted it to come down. Meanwhile, both clarke and abele both say they have power over park hours. On sunday, a judge sided with the county executive and ordered the fence to come down. Abele says the fence needs to come down so the park no longer looks like a crime scene and gives people in the neighborhood a sense of healing. Weve reached out to sheriff clarke for comment and he has not returned our will make the final decision later this afternoon. That hearing is at 2 pm. Milwaukee mayor tom barrett is working on ways to make sure people stay healthy. Yesterday he took questions about city initiatives and plans aimed at improving health and wellbeing. There was some concern in the crowd about equal access to healthcare and the Health Disparities between black and white residents.
