Just perfect. Harvey it sure would. Isnt it interested to see november. It did fit the weather, thats for sure. Hours. I mean, it was mild early in the 50s and then, boom, up to 74 at lunchtime, right between noon and 1 00, it snuck up to 76 and then some clouds came in and that was the end. That was pretty close to a record. The record will stay at 79 in the books. Tomorrow similar temperatures, maybe a little more cloudy, a degree or two cooler, but right now im forecasting a record tying 73. I certainly would not be surprised at all in we do break the record for tomorrow. Now, i do want you to notice that a couple of showers scattered about the south coast and the cape could be around early tonight and tomorrow around the cape and or the islands. The rest of us are likely to have clouds. I do think there is a chance that the clouds will break apart to some extent late tomorrow morning into tomorrow afternoon and if that happens, then we should be able to break the record. Little line of showers, that could be happening. So thats what were talking about, there is crazy weather out in the southwest where its very warm. Ill let you know about our changes for the weekend in a few minutes. J. C. And phil. J. C. this pep really Police Officer faces a judge accused of choking a prisoner in a Police Department cell. Now well have some cloudiness around in a fair part of the region overnight and early tomorrow, its been a night sight. This is something that some of you have been asking me about, the acorns are all over the place, what does that mean . It seems so much more than last year. Last year, look how cold it turned out in january, february, and march. The old folklore is that it could be a sign of a harsh winter when you have an abundance of acorns. The real idea is this is a three to fiveyear oak tree cycle that goes on. There are lots of other factors that can come into play what this winter will be like which we will be talking about over time. Not so much right now. At this time, i want to talk about how dry its been around the area. Still were talking about an eightinch deficit in precipitation for the year. We remain abnormally dry across much of southern, southeastern, and eastern new england which i know amazes some of you when we think back to last winter. It has really been dry for much of the spring, summer, and fall in much of our area. Here is an important reminder, too. We need a little bit of sun probably to make it happen. Well have a very mild start because this is going to be unusually mild night dropping to around 60 degrees. Following a few showers down near the south coast and the cape and there can be a few more that visit overnight down the coast. We have this inbetween area which is mild for some sun the front approaches tomorrow then. A little bit of shower activity early tomorrow around the cape and the possibility that we get a period of brighter skies in the afternoon. Could be a shower that comes front. Saturday will be cooler with some lingering clouds and saturday night and sunday, it should become clear. Chillier. There you go, one more very warm, abnormally warm day in november in the 70s. Saturday right around 60 degrees and then sunday is much chillier, so for the patriot game, it could be around 49 to start the game, but there will be an active wind, 10 to 20 miles an hour making it feel chillier. Temperatures will be sliding through the 40s, setting us up for a chilly sunday night and early monday. With full sun on monday, we could be back up to 60 degrees during the afternoon hours. So far november is being rather gentle to us. Phil and j. C. Phil thats the way we like it, thanks, harvick. Want to get through a pile of books, papers or magazines or browse through all of those emails while waiting on your phone. How can you do it faster . Anthony has a program that recommends you do it one word at a time. Anthony the concept sounds a bit odd until you actually try it. Frank explains. When you read a word, you your eye lands on a point in the word where it recognizes it. Thats the recognition point. So what weve done, we have created a special display that focuses your eye in that recognition point so your eye never moves. Anthony he says most of us read at approximately 250 words a minute, but he says with spritz, that speed can be at least doubled with a little bit of practice. He started me at a reasonable pace. Started at 280 words a minute and which felt slow actually and now were at he started me 350. Its not smooth to me. Its robotic. Anthony 350 words a minute felt better, but he pushed me further. Lets go to 450. Anthony so now i feel like im getting it, but not all of it. Im skimming all of this. Lets go back to 400. Anthony for this test subject, spritz clearly works. The question is how. Youre moving your eye around the page and not thinking about what you just read. Your brain is looking for the next thing to read. If you dont move your eye, you got all of that processing time. So the increase in speed is not just the fact that were delivering words fast to you. Its the fact that youre not moving your eye.
