C. As we send it over to harvey. Harvey, it looks well, actually the snow looks like its picking up there. The strength seems to be picking up. Oh, its picking up and accumulating. Theres already a couple of inches on the ground. The problem is theyre going to have a couple of feet on the ground. I do think sometimes you think, oh, is it really going to be so historic . It actually has a real chance of being quite historic for them, not more boston. A whole different animal, as we are in boston, only going to be on the edge of the storm. 29 is our temperature. Wind out of the northwest as we set the stage. Its cold out, dry out. Did you see the ocean water temperature was 42 . That is important, because the wind will start coming out of the northeast and east tomorrow and it might make the immediate shoreline, especially down toward the cape, go above 32. Might not prevent snow and make it rain there may still be snow, but it could be a wetter snow. There are going to be power outages, it would be southeastern mass and the cape. But for now, well drop to the teens and twenties overnight before bouncing up some tomorrow. The blizzard warning is in effect for both the vineyard and block island. That means the potential is there at some point, namely later tomorrow into tomorrow night, of winds gusting frequently over 35 miles an hour and visibility under a quarter of a mile due to blowing snow. We also have the winter storm warning. That usually means six inches or more potential. Southern connecticut, southern rhode island, southeastern mass and the cape, and the waters of the south shore. Winter weather advisory, northern connecticut and northern rhode island. That three to six potential is probably going to happen here. But it may extend up to about worcester and boston. Thats one of the wild cards in all of this. All right. Then we have two high tides to water, later tomorrow night as well as sunday morning. There could be certainly some beach erosion as well as minor to moderate pockets of coastal south shore and cape. That could be a little bit more potential on the sunday morning the saturday night one. Storm itself continues to develop. No question about that. Its going to be its poet innocent, continuing to intensify quickly. This track is a little too far south to really give boston the kind of walloping theyre going to be getting there. Hartford and providence tomorrow and close to the pike. Going northward is going to be tough for this, because very dry air for vermont, New Hampshire and maine protects those states from probably getting any snow at all. Get to the pike, youll get a little bit more. Then you build up as you go south. Thats the kind of system were dealing with it as ends in the wee hours of the morning on sunday. Lots of sun for the midday and afternoon hours on sunday. North of boston and the pike, one to three inches. Of boston and the pike, three to six. Providence to plymouth, points south, six to 10. We could wind up with a greater difference or bigger difference in a smaller number of miles, which is almost impossible to forecast in any shift either way. As for traveling impacts, Northern Areas would be low tomorrow afternoon into tomorrow night. Moderate, boston and metro west. High to the south of boston, cape and island. Winds will gust past 50 on the cape. Certainly past 40 on the south shore and at least 30 to 40 on cape ann. So with those kind of winds, which will finally abate sunday afternoon and sunday night, why were concerned about it is that high tide, especially on sunday morning, that will follow for all the waters of the south shore, cape and islands. Places like sandwich, nantucket, all have to watch those tides, thats the way it shapes up. Quick look at the seven day. Youll be able to see that were talking about quieter weather and mild weather early next week. A few showers on tuesday, somewhat colder after that. See you at 7 00 im meteorologist harvey leonard. Now, sportscenter 5, with bob halloran. This is not the gronk party bus. This is the patriots leaving on a business trip. And if they take care of business, theyll have one more road trip to make. Now, as we lead into a sound bite from bronco defensive back derek wolfe, just imagine how Bill Belichick would feel if one of his players said this about the broncos. Theyre in your way . Theyre always in my way to get what i want. Its naturally going to create a hate. A lot of respect. A ton of respect for the whole organization. Tom brady is a great player. Bill belichick is a great coach. Great staff over there. Ive you just hate them . I just hate them, yeah. He circled right back to hating them. Patriots fans are likely to get on him, much the same way they got on Brandon Marshall and all he said was Rob Gronkowski gets 98 of the time. I didnt think they would blow up like that. I definitely wasnt aware that all the Patriots Fans would be in my twitter and calling me, you know, all kind of explicit names and, im sorry, im the names but. We can imagine. A lot of confidence in patriot nation heading into this game. It seems wellfounded. But denver has not been kind to the patriots. Not two months ago, not two years ago. The a. F. C. Champion Denver Broncos patriot nation does not want to go through that again. But the numbers dont lie. Tom brady, just 26 in denver. We played a lot of good bronco teams, beat them a couple of times. But they beat us most of the so id love to get to that number 3 in the win column this weekend. Those two wins in denver in the past 15 years, they came when danny kanell and tim tebow were forced into action. Two years ago, the already aging Peyton Manning threw for 400 yards against the patriots. They were on fire that year. And, you know, we just got off to a slow start, that game. We just played from behind the entire game. Made a couple of plays at the end but it really wasnt that close. So weve got to get off to a much better start this week. Road games, just playing on the road in the nfl is always a difficult task. But were going on the road, into denver. Their fans are going to be loud, ready. And its the Denver Broncos. Very solid team, very solid defense. So we just gotta be ready mentally and physically. When we head out there. All right. Remember, Danny Amendolas hit thats going to cost him a lot. Amendola fined for what the nfl called a blind side block. Also, david blatt fired as head coach of the cavaliers. Newscenter 5 at 7 00, a new safety net for loved ones with alzheimers or autism.
