Poll workers here today trying to make up for this past november when many voters in Hamilton County waited in long lines caused by problems with the new electronic poll system. Some were also turned away from polling locations or made to fill out provisional ballots. So more than 2700 poll workers will be on hand today as many made final preparations last night. They had one last opportunity during a two hour meeting to ask questions about how things would work. Each poll worker was required to ake a four hour class on top of last nights final meeting. Ohio secretary of state jon husted told the Hamilton County board of elections to review the problems with the november elections. That review was due in december and everyone here they want things to be different. And they expect voter turnout to be higher than in november at somewhere between 40 and 45 percent. If you plan to vote today of course make sure to have your id ready. Polls open at 6 30. And those poll workers theyll arrive in just a few minutes at 5 30.
