This republican ballot for the ohio primary is causing a lot of confusion because it has two areas where voters can choose delegates to the National Convention in cleveland. Cleveland. One of the races is for at large delegates to support one of 11 candidates. The other is for choosing districts. State law requires two contests for president to ballot. Hamilton county board of elections director sherry poland says thats the way its been for years. Delegates were awarded number of votes won. Won. The Ohio Republican party has gone to a winnertakeall state so that changes things slightly. Slightly. The bottom line is the vote that matters most is the one for atlarge delegates as for confusion changing the outcome, Hamilton County board of elections director Alex Triantafilou says no way. Way. I dont think it will have any impact. Folks will vote for the candidate they want to see win the primary and theyll just have to fill in the bubble in both places. Places.
