Five people have been take into custody. Three found inside the apartment and two outside on the streets. This hour, their exact identities still unclear but there is reason to believe that the master mind behind this attack was hiding out inside. Gunfire erupted in the paris suburb overnight where police believed the master mind behind last weeks terror attacks was hiding. Panicked residents heard explosions, some were evacuated and others told to stay indoors as heavily armed officers and soldiers moved through the streets. Authorities think master mind Abdelhamid Abaaoud was inside the apartment with several other heavily armed suspects. The tense scene comes as police began searching for a second man who they say slipped away after the carnage. Authorities reportedly spotted him on video in a car with two other attackers who opened fire on customers at a bar. The brother of one of the suspected athe tackers is appealing for him to come forward. My advice to him is to turn himself into the police, he said, so justice can shed light on what happened. Its just over a mile from the soccer stadium targeted by three suicide bombers. And as the investigation this morning continues, so does the tension. Twice already we have seen police and troops break through this barrier to go and search for what we believe to be possible suspects. They have since retreated. Its still a very active scene at this hour but at this point, it is unclear if the alleged master mind was indeed in that building and if so, if they got him. Residents about 40 minutes outside st. Denis reported hearing gunfire. The raid began around 4 00 a. M. Local time with authorities swarming an Apartment Building where they believed Abdelhamid Abaaoud was holed up with several other heavily armed people. Abdelhamid abaaoud is the suspected master mind of friday nights attacks that killed 139 people and injured 50. He was originally thought to be in syria but authorities had reason to believe he was instead in france. This apartment where the raid took place is just over a mile from the soccer stadium that three suicide bombers targeted on friday. The Paris Prosecutors Office says s. W. A. T. Teams this morning arrested three people in the apartment, along with another man and woman near the apartment. Had good reason to believe reporter and youre taking a live look right now in st. Now to the breaking news from paris where a police raid that targeted the alleged master mind of fridays terror attacks has just ended. We know at least two people are dead, one a female suicide bomber with seven others taken into custody. Cbs 2 news Jonathan Vigliotti with the story from there. Reporter gunfire erupted in the paris suburb of saintdenis overnight during an operation targeting several suspects in last weeks terror attacks including master mind Abdelhamid Abaaoud. Panicked residents heard explosions and some were evacuated and others told to the stay indoors as officers and sold yes, sir moved through the streets. Law enforcement Officials Say at least soldiers moved through the streets. Law enforcement Officials Say at least two suspects are dead, one a female suicide bomber. Police begin searching for a second man who they say slipped away after the carnage. Authorities reportedly spotted anymore a car with two other tackers who opened fire on customers at a bar. The brother of one of the suspected attackers is appealing for him to come forward. My advice to him is to turn himself into the police, he said, so justice can shed light on what happened. Saintdenis is just over a mile from the stade de france, the soccer stadium targeted by three suicide bombers. And several raids were conducted in this neighborhood overnight. What led police to focus in on that specific address is still unclear and along with the seven arrests that were made, were still waiting to the figure out the identities of all seven of them. Chris and Mary Jonathan, we understand they were targeting the master mind of the friday attacks and going after one person holed up in one of the apartments. Do you have information on that . Reporter its a good question. Old master mind behind the attacks was believed by police to be in syria. We know hes moroccan born and lived in brussels but have no point police disclosed to us that they thought he could be here in france. What led them to that apartment and why they believe that the master mind is involved in this and connected to that apartment is part of the ongoing investigation. Still very much an active scene here underway. The french prosecutor is expected to address what came out of this raid a little bit later on today. Jonathan, any injuries reported by french authorities when the woman who apparently blew herself up with the suicide vest . Were any of the french authorities hurt in the raid . Reporter yeah, were hearing that five Police Officers did sustain injuries from that attack. We also hear that a police dog that was brought in was killed in the attack. As far as the injuries to the Police Officers and the extent of the injuries, still unclear. There are also hundreds of people, because this is an active neighborhood, that were impacted and had to be evacuated. Were not hearing that any other person was injured. Reporter the congressman king exposing a loophole in the federal gun laws that allow people on the fbis terrorist watch list to legally go into a gun store and buy hand guns and assault weapons. The watch list is not used when Gun Store Owners do background checks and in light of the paris the terror attack, the congressman wants the law changed asap. Its a dangerous loophole. And we see the potential threats and dangers that we have when we see whats happened in paris. Dont make it easier for them by allowing them to go into a gun shop and buy a gun. As the sun came up in france this morning, a million tear convoy entered the police stand off in saintdenis, a suburb north of paris. You can see authorities helping an injured masked man limping at the scene. The raid in an Apartment Building began around 4 00 this morning local time. With residents nearby hearing gunfire along with sporadic bangs and explosions. Authorities swarmed the building where they believed Abdelhamid Abaaoud was holed up with several other heavily armed people. Abdelhamid abaaoud is the suspected isis master mind of friday nights attacks that killed 129 people and injured 350. He was originally thought to be in syria, but authorities clearly had reason to believe he was instead in france. This apartment where the raid took place is just over a mile from the soccer stadium that three suicide bombers targeted on friday. The Paris Prosecutors Office says s. W. A. T. Teams this morning arrested three people in the apartment, along with another man and woman near the apartment. And another two were also arrested no. Identities have been arrested. A Fatal Shooting in brooklyn this morning. Police say a man was shot in the back just after 3 00 a. M. They say the man is between 30 and 35 years old. He has not yet been identified. A bomb threat against an airfrance jet out of los angeles forced the plane to land in utah. Passengers september out pictures on social media from the tarmac in salt lake city. The bomb threat was phoned in. The 400 passengers were evacuated while the fbi and k9 units checked for explosives. Nothing was found. And in some areas like the garment districts, signs have been going up asking the public not to give to the homeless after a similar request was made by Police Commissioner bill bratton last week. Were being told that at this point, investigators and a Forensics Team have not had the opportunity to get into that specific apartment. Theyre trying to secure it as we know. A suicide vest was set off by a female suicide bomber which did cause partial structural damage so theyre still waiting to figure out that before they can get the crews in. And all of this has seven people are taken into custody and we are waiting to figure out their identities. We know that police had reason to believe that among them was the possible master mind of fridays tack. At this point, still unclear if and were taking a look at live pictures.
