Police tell us two men were slashed and injured right here at 21st street and 6th avenue. The nypd cleared the scene moments ago. The suspects got kicked out of this nightclub down the block and thats when they ended up at this intersection. The initial problem started at the slate nightclub. Two suspects, both of them men, started a confrontation with the bouncers and eventually left. But seconds later were told they randomly walked up to a 27 yearold man, started an argument with him then slashed him in the hand. They met in the club tried to intervene but the suspects turned on him and slashed him in the chest and shoulders. Both of the victims are now at the hospital we covering. We talked to a worker from the club who says shes frightened. When i left they were like make sure if you need somebody to walk you to the car. Like well get them. You get somebody. What do you think of the slashings . Super scary. Right now im freaking out. Im just like dont want to freaking even come to work any more. And its especially scary considering there have been 611 slashings and stabbings in the city since january. That number is 21 higher compared to the same time last year. Just a few weeks ago a 24year old woman was slashed in the pace in chelsea. Just a if few blocks from this scene. On friday a 60yearold man was slashed in the face getting on the subway in midtown when he this morning two men were slashed here in chelsea. A pedestrian was struck and killed by a hit and run driver in the bronx, according to investigators. They say the man was standing at the ramp of the cross bronx expressway just after 1 00 this morning when he was hit. Police say the driver took off in a black suv. The victim a 26yearold man died at st. Barnabus hospital. Police are searching for the person responsible for gunning down a store owner in new jersey. Jamal gaines was shot and killed on friday night inside his Sneaker Store after Police Say Two men stormed the store. Investigators say the motive may have been robbery. This all happened at 3 30 this morning on the corner of 21st street and 6th avenue. Police cleared the scene moments ago. All morning we saw them out here collecting evidence. They are trying to figure out who these suspects are. Heres what we know. Police say the two suspects, both of them men were at a club called slate and they got kicked out. Thats when the situation they apparently started problems with the bouncers and took off. But seconds later police say they confronted a 27yearold man on the corner. They got into a verbal argument and thats when the victim was slashed in the hand. A police chase came to a fiery end when a car went up in flames after crashing into a house. Police in saddle brook say they tried to pull over a driver who ran a red light yesterday morning. Officers grabbed him as he was climbing over a fence. Investigators say he may have had fraudulent credit cards on him. They say he used one to rent the same car he crashed. Police now say the arrest of a brooklyn man has put an on long island. Has broken into 17 homes since november of 2014. Police say pharaoh of the things he took in prior crimes were found in his home and then returned to the rightful owners. Three men were arrested after police say they were caught trying to transport about 1 million worth of marijuana. Officers say they saw the men hauling a huge wooden crate into a building. 150 pounds of pot. Then another 150 pounds on a delivery truck. All three men are now facing charges for possession. Family and friends are desperately searching for a man who vanished during a plane crash. Been seen. Three others were rescued the night of the crash. The plane went down after the pilot reported engine trouble. A truck carrying more than 6000gallons of Home Heating Oil leaked while making a delivery, leaving behind an oil slick. A cruise ship previously gathered by Severe Weather is returning to a new jersey port early. Royal caribbean says the anthem of the seas is heading back to to avoid a severe storm.
