Other news now. For the second time this week, the City Public School student was caught police say bringing a loaded gun to school. And now some parents are worried about their childrens safety. Cbs 2s Hazel Sanchez live now in jamaica. Hazel. Reporter well, maurice, a lot of parents we spoke with say they now want more security after learning that someone brought a gun to school. A student saw the 15yearold flashing the gun around. He told School Officials and all the classrooms were put on lockdown. Police say a student at York Early College academy in jamaica, queens brought this. 38caliber gun to School Thursday morning. It makes me feel scared and uncomfortable. What if the kid like would have came into, like, like unfortunately my classroom and felt angry and took out the gun and next thing you know were all on the floor dead . Im shocked. Known for behavior like that. Reporter police say the 15 yearold boy was showing off the loaded gun to a classmate who informed School Officials. The school was locked down until the police arrived. Teachers made sure we were okay. Reporter this is the second student in jamaica to days. On wednesday, an 11yearold boy brought a loaded nine millimeter gun to ps 40. His grandfather faces several charges including criminal possession of a weapon and endangering the welfare of a child. Some yeca parents say the school needs to do more to protect their children.
