We talked about 40mileper hour gusts. 50mileperhour gusts. 60mileperhour gusts possible. Thats going to create a blizzard. A blizzard is all about limited visibility due to flying snow caused by those heavy winds for three hours or more. Thats why the National Weather service has a blizzard warning. They feel confident its going to happen within the next 24 hours. North of the area, its a winter storm warning. Then you go well north you get into, you know, orange county, Putnam County looking at winter storm watch. We just dont think its going to be as much of an issue as you get into that area and then north of that my real northern suburbs sullivan, ulster and dutchess, may not, be much of a storm for you at all. Know the shore like will get really hit hard with winds. Its all about snow bands versus dry slots. Thats the key to the amount of snow that you get at your house and if you catch one of these snow bands over your area these are not faint of heart. These are snow bands that exist or that spread out for about 100 miles. They are big. Youre going to get big snow totals if you get the snow band over your area. If you catch the dry slot, youre going to catch smaller numbers and thats what were starting to see. This is the radar picture. I wanted to take the satellite off because sometimes the cloud cover can mix in with the snow. Upper level snow flurries making their way into new jersey. The Bigger Picture shows you whats going on. Remember i said the snow band versus the dry slot . Snow bands are impressive. They extend for like 100 miles. But then you have you have so many dry slots right now. I just dont understand how some of these models that are dont pick up on this. Adjust. I will ring the alarm. High with these numbers. As long as these dry slots exist im going to stick with my numbers like around new york city 8 to 12. Higher. This is the other intangible right now that could bring about huge totals. This is a secondary low thats developing. You look at some of these numbers like the rpm and nam 20 to 30 inches in new york city. Is that a possibility . In order for that to happen it has to travel up the eastern seaboard and move parallel this little canal is the key. It has to be within 35mile wide canal. It can come onshore. It has to stay off the jersey shore and before it hits long island do a hard left turn and push into new york city. Is it possible . I showed you how its possible. Its not part of my forecast. Again if i see that developing, ill let you know that 8 to 12 around the city with the possibility of 12 or more maybe nipping at portions of the city as well and less as you go north. Back to you. I dont think my mic was on. You have been talking a lot. Working hard. Those arms. [ laughter ] the academy of Motion Picture arts of [ indiscernible ] double its number of minorities by 2020.
