Another woman who saw his pictures on social media knew his name and what Daycare Center he was from. I saw there was a child missing. We went into action. Someone recognized ethan within moments and she called the precinct captain. My dad called 911 while i was pushing through my mom and i started just doing cpr. Im lucky that she did. Reporter the American Heart Association is marking a major milestone. More than 1. 5 million teens in the u. S. Will now be trained in cpr as part of the School Curriculum each year. New york became the 26th state this week to pass legislation mandating cpr training as a High School Graduation requirement. You check the victim. Reporter Health Instructor Nisha Thompson teaches hands only cpr to students at this washington, dc high school. They noticed if they didnt have the correct hand position they had to readjust. They noticed how tiring it can be, which it could be tiring as if you actually are doing cpr on someone. Reporter more than 300,000 people go into cardiac arrest outside a hospital each year. Only about 10 survive because they dont get cpr before paramedics arrive. See if they are responsive. Reporter she says cpr is a lesson all children should learn. If something happened like that to one of them or their family members, they should know what to do.
