One teenager was found sex with another teen. We hope that this will send a message to future cases and victims that will allow them the strength and courage to come forward. Reporter but the accuser, now 16, testified that labrie assaulted her after she said raped [ crying ] i was violated reporter prosecutors said the rape was part of senior salute, labrie described it to detectives as a competition during which seniors have sex score. In court labrie admitted to bragging to friends that he had sex with the girl but said it was a lie he told to impress them. Under crossexamination, she her shirt and pants. In the wake of his arrest, School Officials say they will expel anyone participating in any game, tradition or practice of sexual conquest under any name. Labrie an aspiring minister was harvardbound but his arrest put that on hold. He faces as much as 11 years in prison and will have to register as a sex offender. And you really dont see that look of a hurricane or a real Tropical Storm which starts to wrap itself around look like a its torn apart now. I saw the accident happen that he hit her and left and just reporter 79yearold Joan Mendelson got caught up in a police chase hit by a gold sedan being pursued by prison woman and crashing his car into a fence. Reporter neighbors were horrified to hear about mendelson who they say took her poodle for a walk daily in arthritis. She was very slow. She is small and very frail. Reporter Police Caught young. He is charged with eluding police, assault with a vehicle, and knowing leaving the screening of an accident where there was serious bodily injury. His bail is 100,000. Mendelsons life was changed forever. Her dog was not injured. The womans family came to be by her side after a routine walk turned tragic. Meg baker, cbs 2 news. Another car was also hit during the pursuit. The driver and passenger were taken to the hospital with nonlifethreatening injuries. Today the sports world is mourning the loss of a legendary coach. Al arbour the architect of the islanders dynasty that started in 1979 who coached the team to four straight stanley cup titles died today at the age of 82. Steve overmyer with an extraordinary coach. The new York Department of transportation approved a new designation for South Oyster Bay road. Its now an access highway. A previous 48foot truck limit can now be exceeded to allow trucks. Cbs 2s Andrea Grymes reports now from prospect leffert gardens. Reporter Police Sources say the gunman and the man killed got into an argument in the lounge before the shooting happened. That man, they say, was the intended target. The others shot were not. Many neighbors say this is something, though, they saw coming. Shattered glass litters the sidewalk outside. Inside, you can see furniture overturned as members of the nypds crime scene unit investigate. All of this reminders of a deadly night in a Hookah Lounge on flatbush. Police say someone old fire around 3 00 this morning in the lounge shooting four people. Three men and a woman all of them in their 20s. One of the men shot in the head and torso later died at the hospital. The others are expected to survive. I knew Something Like this would happen. And see, thats what it is now. Certainly. It is. As always, though, with drugs theres a downside. Thats right. Theres, you know, you got to make sure youre doing it for the right reason. First of all, the drugs have only been tested for relatively short times. And they seem very saf. We dont know what side effects there are. The drugs are going tow very expensive. Both have to be injected twice a month. And the cost will be more than 14,000 a year. A month. I think a lot of people watching say can i take that drug is it for everybody . No especially not at 14,000 a month. Approved for people with a familial or genetic type of deadly very high cholesterol. We have been given the impression that these cholesterol lowering drugs were effective and widely use to the point that 11 Million People are on them. That kind of depends.
