Surveillance video from a nearby complex shows officers with body shields moving patrons to safety. Reporter investigators are clues. Over the years he has lived in the carolinas. Hes been described as reclusive. The only shooting victim identified is 44yearold officer garrett swasey. He was on duty when he heard he rushed to the scene. A pastor at his church was there when his wife, rachel, told their two Young Children their dad died. Reporter police say the 19 yearold is now in critical his body. He jumped through the window, came over, and he was hurting so much. Reporter the fdny says there was no working smoke alarm in the home. A 40yearold man who tried to help was also hospitalized for smoke inhalation and a leg injury, but he is expected to be okay. Paul niles has been arrested after the 28yearold turned himself in.
