Customers say the clerk had family in gaughan a and a close connection to the people he served for over a decade. Kind, humble, he was a real dude, man. We became wallys family in the neighborhood. Reporter police say last night the clerk was working next door at m a food. After an argument, he kicked guzman out of his store and across the street. Hes a worker in another store across the street who came over to the store where the incident occurred to assist. Mr. Guzman made a very fast move and basically rip the gun out of the officers holster. Reporter guzman is said to have empty the magazine, letting out 15 rounds, killing moments earlier. An officer fired back, injuring guzman. The second officer fired three shots at mr. Guzman, striking him twice. Reporter the patrol borough bronx commander says the cops involved were fortunate they werent killed. The officers were very lucky.
