And this area is perfect for viewing the eclipse, clear skies and we are the furthest west where this will be one of the First American cities to go dark as that Solar Eclipse goes from west to east. Were expecting to be in the dark here for about two minutes. As you mentioned, there are a lot of folks out here. Its typically of town of 2,000. Today over 100,000 people who began camping early thursday and have been here over the last several days. They call this area solar town. There are camps, rvs and tents as far as the eye can see. Some people are paying upwards of 1,500 to camp out here all for that perfect spot. It could be the best place in the world to see the Solar Eclipse. Lines are getting longer and longer. Were expecting about two minutes of darkness. The sky here should plunge into darkness around 10 19 in the morning. We are told by astronomers its going to be a spectacular show. The destroyer was heading for a routine stop in singapore. So was the tanker full of oil in the narrow strait. Just before dawn they collided. The much heavier tanker holing the warship on the left port side. In a statement, the navy said, the significant damage resulted in flooding to nearby compartments including crew berthing, machinery and communications rooms. I want to spend a little more time on ingredients because some of these are things people dont necessarily have at home or arent familiar with them. Talk about them. This is basically a classic worldfamous barbecue. Have you had this before . Yes, i have. Great. Youre about to taste some deliciousness going on. Vegetable oil, sesame oil which is fine. Soy sauce, white rice. This is classic korean barbecue sauce. If you cant find this, buy it, or make it with the recipe online or substitute your favorite hoss sauce. Asian if you cant find that, anything thats hard enough to grate. And fragrant. Any lettuce leaf that you want. And good to substitute something herby, a bit of spiceness. Using substitutes for the things you mind not be able to find, were give that to you online. Make the marinade. Starting with an asian pear. Going to grate this just like this. Juicy. Look at that. Very juicy. Use all of that juice and all of those bits to the put into your marinade. This adds flavor and sweetness and acts as a tenderizer. All of that making your meat nice and buttery and soft. And delicious. Now, can you whisk . Sure. Absolutely. And whisk in your repertoire. In there, used to a rounder bowl. Thats okay. Going off piece with you. And jazz up your your skills. My repertoire. Brown sugar, sesame sauce, ginger, garlic. Good flavor. How far in advance would you marinate the meat . Two hours in advance and up to overnight. Salt and pepper. Not too long, though, because of the pear. The enzymes will break things down eventually. Nut your short ribs. Use any kind of meat. This is nicely, thinly sliced. It toox quicooks quickly. Skirt steak. Flip it over . Do it in a plastic bag and massage it in there, if you want to. And this is whats it looks like after its been marinated. To the grill. Do you grill . I love to grill. Really . I like to see more ladies grilling out there. We like to play with fire, too. Right . Just pop it on. Very fast. Thats going to cook yeah. Super fast because of the way its sliced so thin.
