We have coverage, starting with Kristen Welker. As a candidate, donald trump was known for making shocking statements on the campaign trial. Now hes in the oval office, his tweet attacks take on new meaning. This morning, he referred to Joe Scarborough as psycho. The outburst, knock him offmessage. But the sharpest words may be coming from the hosts themselves. This morning, Joe Scarborough and mika fired back at the president , writing, americas leaders and allies are asking themselves whether this man is fit to be president. We have our doubt. Its disturbing that the president of the United States keeps up his assault on women. Overnight, President Trump hosting the president of south korea, but unable to escape the mounting firestorm taking aim at mika. The president calling her low i. Q. Crazy mika. And alleging that when she was maralago, she was bleeding badly from a facelift. The cohost responding today. Although its no ones business, the president s attack against someones look, reports that mika never had a facelift. She had skin under her chin tweaked but this was hardly a state secret. Democrats outraged. He should resign. Its so blatantly sexist. I dont know if theres a question about it. The president ial platform should be used for more than bringing people down. The president s tweet was completely inappropriate. Bill crystal calling the president a pig. And Erick Erickson tweeting, my god, someone go smash his phone, please. Scarborough and mika had a cordi cordial relationship with the president. Hes a narcissist. I believe hes mentally ill. He lies every day. A lot of tiles, he lies every minute. Reporter Sarah Huckabee sanders saying the president has been attacked by the media. I dont think its a surprise to anybody that he has to fight fire with fire. Reporter doesnt he have to meet a higher standard than news anchors. The president will host a press conference with the Korean Leader but wont take any questions. This was supposed to be the week. As senators scatter to their home states for a recess, while their effort to overhaul obamacare is still unclear this morning. The president writing, if the republican senators are unable to pass what theyre working on now they should immediately repeal and replace at a later date. After delaying a vote with divisions between moderates and conservativ conservatives, Mitch Mcconnell had set the goal of today to try to come up with a new plan to present to an independent budget scorekeeper to be reviewed while the senators were gone so they could vote as early as next week. No word whether that will happen. Also this morning, the white house is confirming that President Trump next week, when hes at the g20 summit will meet facetoface with vladimir putin. Its not clear if President Trump will confront his russian counterpart about meddling in the 2016 election, they have other topics to talk, ukraine and syria here. We are hearing from the Russian Foreign minister, sergey lavrov, saying hes optimistic. Both are willing to overcome the abnormality that dominates our relations. Thank you, peter. Something else were focusing on this morning is travel. Today marks the start of the busy Holiday Weekend. Its the first full day that a scaledback version of President Trumps travel ban is in effect. And how its being carried out is leading to protest and confusion. Nbc justice correspondent, pete williams, has more on that. What can you tell us . Its a matter of hours and the lawyers are back in court. They say the Trump Administration has limited who gets to apply for a visa to come here. And the government has made one change, fiancees now count. Lawyers stood by at the l. A. Airport, ready to respond to lastminute hitches, in case of a recurrence of the kin d of chaos, that followed the First Executive order. Anyone from one of the six muslim countries, who already has a visa, is being allowed to board a flight to the u. S. And enter the country upon arrival. But for the next 90 days, anyone from those countries who wants to get a visa, must have a close Family Connection to someone already here. And the Trump Administration is defining that Family Connection narrowly a parent, child, inlaws, sibling, spouse or fiancee. That does not include grandparent, cousin, brother or sisterinlaw. Industry groups say the new rules will dampen business travelers and not just from the six affected countries. We dont know what other countries might get added to the ban. Theyre going to really question whether or not they want to do business in the u. S. Reporter the new rules mean a 120day ban to refugees unless they have family here. That would have blocked mustafa who came to the u. S. Two years ago as a refugee from syrias violent civil war. With no family in the u. S. , he says he would have had no place to go. Syrian people who want to come to the United States, those people need a new life. An opportunity. They cannot stay in syria anymore. Reporter the challengers who got the executive order blocked this year are now asking a judge to rule that the government is being too restrictive about the kind of family relationships that count for getting a visa. But Authorities Say a promisiin young womans life was cut short because of road rage. And now, police in three states are hunting for the man who is responsible. 18yearold Bianca Robinson was on her way home from a shopping trip. She was on highway 200, when two lanes merged to one. Thats when she encountered a man in a red pickup truck. They were trying to merge together. And the man in the red pickup shot her in the red. Reporter her car careening off of the roads. Police are searching for the red chevy pickup scene in this photo. And hunting the driver, believed to be a white male with lightcolored hair, between the ages of 30 and 40. To that man who fired the shot, turn yourself in now. Every second you are out in there, youre only making this worse for yourself. Reporter the young victims father, distraught, thinking about her final moments. I can visualize it in my mind, what happened to my daughter. Reporter bianca was headed to college in the hafall. Police are calling this case a senseless and brutal act of violence. They say they will not rest until they find the suspect. Newly released video captures a minute that a san diego man and his daughters missing in baja, mexico, were rescued. They left on june 20th, but when they didnt return, help was called. Shes found to be atfault in a car accident in florida that led to the death of a 78yearold man. This, just days before shes set to compete at wimbledon. Tammy leitner has the latest. And according to a police report, she was turning into the gated community when the accident happened. This morning, police saying tennis star Venus Williams at fault for an accident that killed a man. It happened at this Palm Beach Gardens accident. Vehicle accident. Reporter according to a newly released police report, 67yearold linda barson had a green light when she says an suv cut across in front of her and was unavoid able to avoid crash into her. Her husband, jerome, was sent to a Trauma Center and died. In astatement from her attorney, she entered the intersection when it was green. She was forced to stop because of traffic, leaving her toyota suv sticking out in the intersection. According to the police report, williams was at fault for violating the right of way. She was not charged of any crime or issued any tickets at the accident. Theres no evidence that williams was under the influence of chal and no evidence she was distracted by a cell phone, according to police. The tennis star is a seventime grand slam champion and is the number ten seed at wimbledon, which starts on monday. Williams attorney issued this statement. This is an unfortunate accident and venus expresses her deepest condolences to the family who lost a loved one. Weve learned that Venus Williams has been cited by police at least twice. Theres several new cases of accidents from light runners from colorado to new york, to pennsylvania. A lot of intersections have cameras to keep people from running reds. But they make your plate unreadable to prevent getting a ticket. Do they work . Violent crashes on camera. Drivers smashing into oncoming traffic. Red light runners hitting people, too. Luckily, theyre okay. To stop it from happening, cities across the country installing red light cameras. Catching drivers in the act, fining them up to 700. Officials say it works. Fatalities from red light running dropped 21 in cities with cameras. But now, police are warning about new products on the market, designed to make your plate invisible to cameras. Like this reflective jell, this spray and this sensor that shines light on to the plate so a camera cant see it. A lot of people will watch this and say, if these products work, i may want it. Unfortunately, a result will be more tbone accidents. And those are the most dangerous we face. People feel like theyre emboldened to run the red and they hit you. Absolutely.
