The three guys who are also best friends seek out the most extreme and remote placed on the planet. The catch in every episode they only have 100 days hun00 days to travel to their next destination. Were up 10,000 feet right now. Your mom would not like this. Reporter racing against the clock and Mother Nature they face dehydration, fatigue and hypothermia. The three in their mid 30s have a totesle of lele of 11 children between them to. They understand the risks with be they just hope to inspire others along the way. Matt and his buddies, danny and blake are here with us this morning. Wow yeah. Wow. So heres the thing. You scale mountains. You ski in dangerous locations. Youre in canyons. But you guys all have day jobs too, as i understand it. Correct . Had. Thats right. Yeah im a teacher. I do software development. Im a general contractor. How do you find time to do all this . We do. We have a lot of kids at home and wives that are waiting for us but we try to make any time we can to get out even for an hour or two each day. We try to get it. You mention your kids and two of your wives are in the studio. Other one isnt here because another baby is on the way. But almost 11 kids between all of you. Is it ever tough to say honey, im going to head out for four days on this super risky venture. See you when i get back. It is about to get a lot tougher for me. The newborn is going to be hard to make an excuse. But i think all of our wives kind of knew what they were marrying. So it kind of theyve given us an allowance to go out and do this. But there is a delicate balance because you dont want to upset your wife. You have to play it by ear. The biggest way this series seems different from others like it is that you guys shoot all of the video yourselves. Goprocameras as i understand it. And little handheld cameras as well . Yeah. Thats the best part about it. We all shoot at ourselves and its its fun because it just lets us be real and it is just us three. We can say or do whatever we want. Theres no story set up. If we see a snake, we film it. We get tired, we sit down we eat lunch and no ones telling us to do this or that but we try to run 100 miles every single time. 100 miles. So as i understand it you have to get through a quarter of that every day to get your food. Is that right . Yeah. We start off the morning. We have basically a plan were 18 to 25pending on whatever depending on the terrain. We have our box that we have to get through. Were starving. We run up to 10,000 calories a day. When we get there, were starving. Whoever dropped off the box, whether by snow cat, helicopter or both were able to get to this good food. Sometimes theres pizza in there, hamburgers. Were not really trying to survive. It is not a survival show. It is like lets do as many miles as we can, see as much beautiful country as we can and then get to that box and eat as much food as we can. You said you hope this series inspires people to be adventurous in their 40s. Thats exactly it. We just want people to get out and have a good time. Theres so many bad things out in the world. Lets celebrate something thats good and fun and guys hanging out and just get people out on the adventure. A lot of people dont flow like as they get older, they think im done thats all in the past. Theyre cold and snowy so we normally spend most of our time inside. Reporter for siblings isaiah and lydia swann, most of their practicing happens in the warm and dry indoors. Its a driving into the net place and a little chipping and putting green. We practice back there. It is enough to keep their skills sharp. Having to golf over winter is a chance to get better. Reporter on the rare occasion when the weather does break, the swann clan hones their skills in their own backyard. We have our own little personal driving range. It is a pretty backyard. Maybe 160 yards . If they finish something early, why dont you go out and hit some balls. It is nice to be able to just not have to physically take them anywhere. Fabulous.
