Sam houston in san antonio, texas, at 8 00 last night. Not clear how far he got into the facility but he was stopped shortly thereafter by sam houston security guards. They took the man into custody, this Saudi National, unidentified. But when they searched the car, they found, apparently, according to officials, explosive materials or actual ied, improvised explosive device. Officials are still trying to figure out who this person is, what his potential motive would be. Theyre not characterizing this as an attempted terrorist attack. The creek runs along the back of these houses here and it will just come, overflow, start coming through the street, the yards and everything. Tuesday, low pressure forms off the florida coast. Heavy rain develops. As this makes its way up the coast, could become a classic noreaster. Winds start pulling in colder air. We do not know if the seven men or five women will vote today or if theyll just continue to consider evidence. Tensions continue to mount. So do the prayers for peace. Rainsoaked protesters took to the streets once again. Police were calm and understanding. Prayer and protest are both the expression of the unheard. Reporter atwell spring church, prayers for a grand jury decision. Its kind of like waiting for a hurricane. You know, we dont know whether it will be a bad hurricane or if will just kind of die out in the ocean. Jesus, may we pray. Reporter for some, waiting and wishing for different decisions before any potential storm hits. Its disheartening to know that their preparation is boarding up and calling in the National Guard versus walking down canfield drive and engaging residents face to face. Reporter but officers have been doing just that. Sometimes violent clashes between protesters and police since Michael Browns death. Law enforcement has had conversations. Theyve had meetings. Theyve been talking and theres been understanding. Reporter but few here seem to understand why its taking so long. There are cases where a grand jury needs to go over several days. But to have it stretch for as long as this jury has is really unusual. Reporter so months ago the county prosecutor said if the grand jury does not indict officer wilson, he would take the unusual step of going to a judge and asking that judge to release virtually all the evidence related to the case. Yesterday we heard from a Court Administrator who said the judge may not release some or all of the evidence, despite the outcome of the grand jury. Craig melvin in missouri this morning. Thank you very much. Student leaders at the university of virginia are holding a press conference to address shocking allegations of Sexual Assault on campus. This is one of the nations elite universities and this is the fraternity where the most violent of those alleged Sexual Assaults is said to have occurred. This graphic article has sparked protests and backlash across the College Community and the administrations handling of Sexual Assault on campus. On the university of virginias campus, a silent show of outrage, with students sticking dozens of notes on the administrations doors, like expel rapists and rocks that each represent a survivor. Protesters voice d their displeasure this weekend. This needs to stop now. Reporter multiple claims of Sexual Assault on campus detailed in rolling stone, including an alleged rape at the Fraternity House two years ago. The university asked Charlottesville Police to investigate. Uvas president announcing the suspension of all fraternities and related social activities for the rest of this year. The Greek Community needs to do some serious soul searching about the way that it has behaved, about the behavior its tolerated, about the way that its supposed to be. Psi kappa psi say the acts depicted in the article are beyond acceptable, violent and intolerable. Already under scrutiny of the federal government, which announced title ix investigations of the university. As students prepare to head home for thanksgiving, many are demanding their schools culture change. Clearly something is not working. Something is not right. Reporter the collapse of the threeyearold Apartment Building pancaked all three floors into the basement. Were not sure if it was an explosion or collapse. This morning, investigators are trying to figure out why a charter bus lifted off a highway and overturned, killing one person and hurting 30 others. The same bus hit a dennys restaurant at a stop 50 miles from where the bus went off the road. Investigators say driver fatigue may have been a factor in all of this. The rumors are finally confirmed. Average Life Expectancy for women in the United States today about 81. For men its 76. If men go to the doctor more often, get checked up, can we start to change those numbers a bit . We can change those numbers. Also we dont need to leave it to our wives to bug us all the time. Because women feel this pressure. Okay, guys, go. Go see the doctor. Get it checked out. And tell us about the story were going to look at today. Thats a great story, savannah. 14yearold girl named haley, who had aml, all, leukemia, 94 cure rate for it. Aml is very scary, 70 cure rate. She receive aid procedure only possible at st. Judes. We created it. Only the eighth child in the world to get it at st. Judes. Its a matter of taking a procedure that takes her mothers natural killer cells, together with the memory t cells in the bone Marrow Transplant and put them together with reduced radiation. She has a very good chance, she is now in remission and will probably stay in remission. This speeds recovery, which helps to keep the cancer away. Marlo, you are a force. Congratulations to you. And now lets turn to carson with the story. You appeared just like a dream to me i love singing. Its my passion. Its what i can see myself doing probably forever. Reporter a goal that 14yearold Haley Kennedy pursued even as a child. When i got on stage i knew this is where i was supposed to be. Reporter but that dream almost faded when a checkup revealed a problem with her blood. Leukemia. I said does this mean it could be cancer . She said yes. And thats when everything kind of flipped upside down. Commercials led the family to st. Jude childrens hospital. Haley was diagnosed with acute Myeloid Leukemia or aml, hard to treat leukemia. 70 success rate. I promise you, we will not touch your vocal cords. After a rough sixmonth treatment, haley had relapsed. St. Judes was the best hope for survival. Thats what got me through my cancer, singing. I always sang for my doctors and my nurses. Reporter she would follow a certain show. My nurses would be like, what are you watching . Oh, the voice. I love that show. It entertains me. And i think that who knows, maybe some day ill be on that show, too. To celebrate one year of being cancer free, haley received a surprised invitation. So cool. A ticket to see the voice and a chance for a dream to come true. Give me a hug. Act like you like me. Want to meet the coaches . Sure. Come on. This is my friend, haley. Gets to the end of the jam and she is using one of those red snow brushes, poke it is out, gets the attention of a passing motorist, who continues to help dig her out. It has to be a nightmare. She literally described it as being in a coffin. For 13 hours f your phone battery is dead, you have no way to get somebodys attention. Writing notes of goodbye. Lets face it. 13 people died in this snow storm. That could have been this could have turned out much worse. Thankfully, she made it. Boy, what a nightmare. Concerns there now of flooding. And its going to get up to about 60 degrees there. And youve got rain and all the storm drains are blocked. Theres literally feet of snow on top. So some of the creeks and rivers may rise. By the way, not to digress too much but the National Weather service in buffalo did a fantastic job of forecasting this storm. Sadly, as we said, 13 people died. But a lot more peoples lives were saved because the National Weather service in buffalo did a spectacular job. The other scene i love is people showing up from out of town on buses with shovels. Whats behind all this . Senior defense officials tell nbc news, matt, that secretary of defense chuck hagel is in fact being forced to resign. During his tenure it was felt that he just didnt grasp many of the issues, had a hard time articulating many of the complicated issues and now with the rise of the war against isis in iraq and syria, the drawdown of troops in afghanistan and continued fighting, were now told and the budget and sequestration, all of that, one Senior Defense official told us it was felt by officials at the white house and here at the pentagon that chuck hagel just was not up to the job, matt.
