Police in Montgomery County are looking for this missing uber driver. 45yearold kristen laib of abingdon township was last seen tuesday evening. She was driving a 2003 subaru lgs. It has the license plate hja8582. If you have any information as to her whereabouts, call abingdon township police. New this morning, Philadelphia Police are investigating a double shooting around olney around midnight. Officers found shell casings at the scene but no one injured. Later, detectives say, they tracked down two victims, both 17 years old. The two are now in stable condition with leg wounds. Police have investigating what led up to this crash in philadelphias Spring Garden neighborhood. A car, as you can see, slammed into a tractortrailer at the intersection of north 3rd and Spring Garden streets around 2 30 this morning. Nobody was hurt, but the crash ruptured the trucks fuel tank, so a special crew had to be called in to clean up the spill. This is video of a random attack that sent two philadelphia teenagers to the hospital. They were out on a date when they got caught in the melee. Both of them were on a date here by whitaker and erie avenues at this carnival. On tuesday, they were walking out when they say a group of teens out of nowhere attacked them for no reason. She was still screaming the whole time, walking and limping there. Reporter police are investigating. No arrests and no update on this case. Weve been checking all morning. Attack on an isis stronghold in afghanistan. An afghan official says 94 isis fighters were killed. Thats up from an earlier estimate of 36. The u. S. Dropped the socalled mother of all bombs on a tunnel complex thursday. The bomb was the largest nonnuclear weapon ever used in combat by the u. S. Military. And now to developments overseas about north korea. The country is celebrating its most important patriotic holiday with a massive military display under the control of leader kim jongun. Tensions were already high at penn station after a power problem caused this new Jersey Transit train to get stuck in a tunnel between new jersey and ng new york for three hours yesterday afternoon. The power outage led for delays for both amtrak and new Jersey Transit trains. The train finally pulled into penn station around 6 30 last night. This is the latest setback for new Jersey Transit just this month. You may remember back on april 3rd, a train derailed at penn station at the height of the morning rush. That shut down service out of manhattan for more than two hours. Four people were hurt in that derailment. And just ten days before that, an acela train slipped off the tracks and bumped a new Jersey Transit train also at penn station. If you fly delta, you may actually want to be an overbooked plane. Thats because delta is now allowing its supervisors to offer passengers up to 10,000 to give up seats on overbooked flights. Delta hopes to avoid any public outcry or a Public Relations nightmare like the one that United Airlines is currently facing. Security officers were caught on this video dragging a passenger off his united flight last sunday night. Thats because he didnt want to give up his seat. Joining us this morning is the woman behind the movement, amy summy. Shes also the cofounder of the nonprofit, no more kids with cancer. Thank you for being with us. Thank you for having me, rosemary. Fuirst, youre a local mom. Tell us about your daughter. My daughter was 9 when she was diagnosed with brain cancer. Her name was nia, she died at 11, a couple of years ago from brain cancer. She was treated here at chop. And when she was alive, she was raising a lot of money for kids and Cancer Research for chop. One day, she just asked me, while she was alive, if i would continue this and raise a lot of money end to childhood cancer. So here we are. And tell us what the goal and the mission is of no more kids with cancer. When we were going through the journey with nia, there were a couple of things that really stood out for us. The toxicity of the drugs. The drugs were very old. She was treated with drugs from the 1950s. That was shocking to us. And when she relapsed, there were no other treatments. The whole thing really sat on us and we said, weve got to do something. The only way through that and to change it was through actual research. The focus is 100 on research. We give all the money that donors give to us to research. And we want groundbreaking research, so we can change the outcomes for children. Quite a few doctors on your board, in fact. Yes. Yes. And were really lucky to be in the backyard of Childrens Hospital and theyve been fantastic and dr. Michael fisher is one of our major board members. Very influential and fun. Okay. So the mustard challenge. A few people may realize today is National Mustard day, so thats why were kicking off the challenge. So tell us what it is. The ostrich escaped a barn fire at nearby kenner hill farm. No animals were hurt in that fire. The ostrich was eventually captured and will now spend time at a temporary home in exton. He was an owner surrender due to some trauma wounds he had and he got enrolled in the charity for dogs program so he had all of his vet bills covered at penn. Now that hes fully healed, hes ready for a forever home. We think he would be best in a home by himself without other dogs or cats, but super friendly, a big cuddler, wants to make everyone happy. So hes great. And you know, im trying to figure out looking at him, do you have any idea what kind of mix he is . He has the cutest face. We think maybe a terrier mix. About 70 or so pounds. So hes a big boy, but he knows sit and paw and hes great with crates and also house training. Oh, good, good. So, michelle, in terms of his trauma injuries, can you tell us more about how he came to you guys . So, you know, were not 100 sure, but it looks like he had some, you know, some so cute sorry, bud. Hes very friendly. Going to get some love. But he had some wound that they were able to stitch up and he had his stitches removed just last week. Now hes ready to kind of go to a new home. Obviously hes feeling okay. Yeah, obviously. And of course, the shelter is open this easter weekend. These are going to pick up pretty easily into the mid60s. A few upper 60s are possible throughout our new jersey neighborhood later today. But it wont be a huge warlmup because weve got this blanket of clouds thats moved in over us. Mostly cloudy conditions, some peeks of sun here and there are expected, but overall, youre going o tto see those gray skie for the forecast today. There are the highs were looking at. 67 in center city and 65 for westchester. Berks county around 65 degrees. And in new jersey, a pretty constant forecast around the same, too. Hamilton and vorhees both at 66. Just a little cooler along the jersey shore, because as were starting to get used to this time of year, youve got the ocean air influence. When winds are coming in from the south, it pushes the cooler air over land and right up against the shore, you get your cooler temperatures. Go a bit more inland and start to see numbers boost up just a tad. In delaware, low 70s are possible in the southern portions of the state. Wilmington, about 68 for the forecast high for today. Then we go to your easter forecast sunday. Easter sunday looks is very good. 85 degrees, the forecast high in at least. 84 in the suburbs. 84 for delaware and 80 in the Lehigh Valley. Notice the icon here, just some light, spotty showers late in the day are possible. And i really dont expect much, except for a few showers that really hit overnight, meaning by then, all the activity should be done for the day. Heres the hourbyhour forecast. After weeks of waiting, april, the giraffe, is finally having her baby. She went into labor this morning at Animal Adventure park in new york. More than 800,000 people i believe it. Have been watching the online video of the birth. The park is limiting the use of the live stream, so we cant show the video to you just yet. Well have more on the nbc 10 app as soon as it becomes available. Among the 800,000 watch iing is krystal klei, who has every detail you could possibly want to know about april the giraffe. I was just starting to wonder if it was really happening. This is amazing. So when its born right now, its little front feet are out, thats about it. But when its born, this is amazing, 6 feet tall and 150 pounds. Mind blown, right . And you and i were looking at it earlier and the giraffe at one point, it seemed like somebody came in to drop off some more hay into the stall and apparently the whole crew and the doctor were like getting together right now to help her with the birth. So hopefully by tomorrow morning well have some adorable pictures of the little baby giraffe to show. Or its going to take many more months and well have new video poor april.
