We will make it back to the 70s although a lot of us right at the lower 70s mark. 74 in philadelphia, we are actually looking at just mostly sunny conditions expected out there as we move along throughout the day, those sunny conditions will be accompanied by the slow warming into those 70s. Your radar and satellite shows we are not tracking any chance of rain at least not for the next couple of days. Over our region its just completely clear, not a thing to track on the board. Maybe some spot high level clouds but the heavier rain and potential for showers in our neck of the woods doesnt come until tuesday. We will track that more closely and talk eagles football coming up. They are superheroes. Both of them were just absolutely fantastic firefighters. They loved their community. This morning a community is trying to come to grips with the deaths of two firefighters in wilmington. They lost their lives battling this row home fire early yesterday. Two other tier are still in the hospital with critical injuries. Weve brought you the breaking news about the fire and the deaths of Christopher Leach and jerry fikes yesterday morning. Right now state and federal investigators are working to find out exactly what started the blaze inside this row home. Monique braxton is live this morning at crozerchester Medical Center where two of the other firefighters are being treated. Monique. Reporter hi, rosemary. Two firefighters have also been treated and released here. The scene is pretty clear, much different from how it was yesterday evening. Two firefighters passed away, they are being hailed as heroes this morning. The grief grips the city of wilmington. Flags are flying at halfstaff here, draped bunting symbolizing the sadness felt. We were at a local high school when mourners prayed and held each other close. Many lifelong friends of the two firefighters who perished. 41yearold lieutenant chris leach and 51yearold jerry fickes. Vice President Joe Biden visited the fire scene as did delaware senator chris coons. Theyre superheroes, both of them were fantastic firefighters, they loved their community. Firefighters trapped. Reporter investigators tell us smoke detectors woke up a woman and five children here on lakeview road. Firefighters rushed in not knowing everyone had escaped. The floor collapsed under the intense heat and flames. A handful of firefighters were trapped. Once again, two firefighters who did survive are in the burn unit here at crozerchester, two others have been treated and released. Lets head now to Washington State where the man wanted for shooting and killing five people at a Shopping Mall is under arrest. Were learning this morning that arcan cetin the suspect in this case is 20 years old. Police captured him nearly 24 hours after four women and a man were gunned down in a department store. Take a look. This is a closer manual of the suspect. This is from a surveillance camera inside the macys store in burlington, washington. The shooting happened near the cosmetics counter. The mall is just about an hours drive away from seattle. A Police Lieutenant from a town thats not far from the mall describes how he and his partner captured the suspect. I saw an individual walking northbound on the sidewalk and i instantly recognized that is the person i had just viewed on my computer. I did an abrupt uturn, hit my lights, pulled my gun and myself and reserve deputy eric grambaufh took the individual into custody. Police say he does have a criminal record that includes domestic violence, assault charges. A motive for the deadly gunfire is not clear yet. According to the fbi there is no indication it was a terrorist act, but police say they are not ruling anything out. You are looking at a fifth straight night of protests in charlotte, North Carolina. The demonstrations happened just hours after Police Released their video of the deadly shooting of a black man by a black officer. Here, this is some of that video that i just mentioned. Protesters have been demanding the release the dash cam video since an officer shot and killed keith scott on tuesday. This Morning Police are sharing details from the investigation along with pictures of marijuana, an ankle holster and a gun they say was recovered at the scene. According to investigators lab results indicate that scotts fingerprints and dna were on the weapon, however, the police chief says this new video does not answer everybodys questions. There is no definitive visual evidence that he had a gun in his hand. You can see something in the hand. And that he pointed it at an officer. We are left with far more questions than we have answers. Scotts family says they are thankful police have released the new information but they still question why deadly force was used. The state of North Carolina is conducting a separate investigation into this case. This Morning Police in baltimore are looking for three gunmen after a group of eight people was shot last night. One of the victims is a threeyearold girl. All are expected to survive. The Police Commissioner in baltimore says the shooting happened outside of some row homes when the three men moved in on the group from different angles. As we move along here lunchtime 64 degrees, as we move into your afternoon just barely making it into the lower 70s here with winds at about 5 to 10 miles per hour. Really going to be a nice day and the reason being is that even when youre only seeing temperatures in the upper 60s, lower 70s but the sun is bearing down on you it feels pretty good outside. To me this debate is about one person and one issue with one person and that is donald trump and his fitness for office. The entire Clinton Campaign for the last six weeks every ad they put out but one has been focused on this issue. Mocking trump for either going after, getting unhinged, having other people, republicans, saying he is just not fit to be commander in chief. So hes got some basic threshold issues to deal with many voters on that stage. So that to me is what largely what this debate is going to be about. Does he have what it takes to be commander in chief. Does he have some substance behind the bluster . And can he keep his cool under pressure for a full 90 minutes . Hillary clinton shes got some issues to deal with, no doubt shes got to repair the broken trust that she has with many voters, but ultimately i think their game plan is not about repairing their own image as much as it is trying to force. S trump to be his old self. I think they believe if they can bait trump into being primary donald trump that its a good night for them. Chuck, a few moments before we let you go were just getting new poll numbers in in pennsylvania. It shows Hillary Clinton up really just by a few points. Do you think pennsylvania is going to stay a swing state through november until we get to november 8th . I will be honest, i am skeptical. I think its a competitive there is a difference between states that are always end up fairly close on election day, but you cannot find a path i dont know how trump wins pennsylvania. I know how he makes it close, i think it will always look close, but the dominance that democrats have in the philadelphia area and the amount of votes that they get out of the city of philadelphia it makes the math almost impossible. Not totally impossible, but it would take a national landslide, i think, for a republican for trump to overtake clinton in pennsylvania.
