Michelle, for the first time in a long time i notice quite a bit of frost on peoples cars and the ground this morning, and i guess the fog had something to do with it . Yeah, you will see the blanket as you head out this morning. You are seeing temperatures below freezing in many spots, and you are seeing that laying on the cars and grass out there. Outside, looking at mostly clear skies and its a cold start to the day, and we have the fog in place and a little frost in spots as well, and as you head out this morning you want to wear the layers and then this afternoon you can lose the layers and it will be nice as we head towards later on sunday afternoon to our evening hours. Reduced visibilities of fog in some spots down to a quarter mile, and down to five miles in allentown and pottstown, so if you are flying out this morning you maybe want to call ahead, if you are trying out of trenton, and Atlantic City, not too bad. It will take a few hours before it dissipates, otherwise a chilly morning. 20s and 30s to the south and east as well, and 30 this morning in wildwood. A cold start to the day and we will be nice this afternoon, and we will talk about the numbers and tracking rain in your 7day and well did a that straight ahead. Now to the terror in california. Tonight president obama will speak to the nation on the deadly shootings in San Bernardino and explain how he plans to keep us safe from homegrown terrorism. Nbc10 will carry the president s address from the Oval Office Live at 8 00. The speech comes one day after police raided the home next to farooks family. The fbi have not said what the agents were looking for, but what we do know is this friend bought the two assault rifles used in the shooting, and he has been unavailable since checking himself into a Mental Hospital after the attack. Authorities say they want to know when and why the weapons were transferred to farook and his wife. Its an urban tactical weapon that these individuals used in a capacity for terroristic acts. Isis has stopped short of claiming responsibility for the attack. Muslims in our area are closely following the news in california. This weekend we spoke to a group in bucks county on their concerns and thoughts on the deadly attack, and Monique Braxton is live in the Operational Center with their reaction. The people we talked to are condemning the people responsibility, and we went out to wubgz county, and they told us extremist that commit violence are not true to their faith but worry the followers of the terror group will fuel a fear of muslims in the united states. We feel bad about that, like they break our community. The Outreach Coordinator told us the best way for muslims to counter fear is not by hiding but by being out in society. New from overnight, Philadelphia Police are looking for three people involved in a chase with officers that started on i95. This happened just before 2 30 this morning when state police tried to stop a driver on i95 south because the tags were expired and the driver took off. Police chased the car to 28th street in south philly before investigators say the three people inside ran away. In Germantown Police are searching for a gunman that shot a man three times overnight. The shooting happened around 2 45 this morning, and the 34yearold victim is at the hospital right now in stable condition. Police have not said yet if they have a motive or any suspects for the shooting. Its an unusual working weekend for state lawmakers in pennsylvania. They are still trying to break a fivemonthlong budget stalemate. The house will reconvene this afternoon while the state is scheduled to return a session tonight. Preliminary votes on spending and pensionrelated legislation will be coming soon. Governor tom wolf said they will reach a deal on how to district money to schools once a budget is enacted. Overseas, one worker is dead and 30 still missing after a fire swept through an oil platform in the caspian sea. The oil company that operates the platform says 30 missing workers were in a lifeboat that went into the stormy seas and 33 others were rescued from a flat form, and this all started when a underwater gas pipeline was damaged in the storm causing the fire to break out. In the wake of the deadly shootings in california the president of Liberty University is making controversial statements during the stools schools connotation. Falwell made a comment that some believed were directed towards muslims, but he says it was specifically about the alleged shooters behind the california attack. Now to news in london where police say a stabbing at a transit station last night is now being treated as a terrorists action. The witness shot video of people running from the scene and then a seriously injured victim wheeled to an ambulance. Back here in the u. S. A shootout in wisconsin, left a person dead and an officer hurt. During the hourslong standoff, one man refused to comply with the officers instructions. One officer was treated and released from the hospital and no word yet on what started the initial shooting. A connecticut man in custody after police found skeletal remains of people in his home. Police are not sure how the remains ended up inside the home but they suspect they were stolen from a cemetery in massachusetts. The man is a priest involved in a religion that uses human remains for medicine. He has only a minor criminal history and has been cooperative with the investigation. Police shot and killed farook and his wife, both hailed by isis as martyrs in the San Bernardino massacre on wednesday. Nbc national correspondent, jay gray, has more from california. As the memorial grows outside the regional center, so does the terror investigation in San Bernardino. Early saturday federal agents raided this home where a friend of syed farooks lives. He apparently purchased the two assault rifles used in the attack, and Authorities Say he is not a suspect in the mass shooting but want to know when and why the weapons were transferred to syed farook and his wife, tashfeen malik. Its a weapon that these individuals used in a capacity for terrorists acts. Isis hailed them as martyrs but stopped short claiming responsibility for the attack. New this morning, Philadelphia Police are looking for the suspect wanted in a bar stabbing. Nbc10 was at the moonlight cuisine lounge where investigators tell us somebody stabbed a man in the chest around 3 30 this morning. The victim is in Critical Condition. Police say witnesses have identified the suspect who is still on the loose. This morning one man is in extremely Critical Condition after a shooting in kensington. The victim was shot in the stomach around 7 30 last night at east somerset street. So far police have not named any suspects or discussed any possible motives. And in northeast philadelphia a firefighter recovering after a fire at a catering company. The firefighter went to the hospital and she suffered minor injuries. So far no word on what caused the flames here. Pennsylvania state lawmakers will be working through this weekend trying to end a fivemonthlong budget stalemate. Committees are expected to vote on spending measures and pensionrelated legislation. Not all republicans are in favor of a previous agreement made with Governor Tom Wolf by gop leaders, and that agreement would call for a 600 million tax package and that includes an additional 60 million for Early Childhood education, and it featured 400 million new dollars for k through 12 education, and a 5 increase in Higher Education funding. The goal is no more fire deaths. Still ahead what the American Red Cross and the Philadelphia Fire Department are doing to make that happen. What an incredible sight. Investigators tell us that a meal was left cooking unattended and sparked these flames friday night. Firefighters found a woman dead road and her husband was injured. The fire destroyed their house. Crews tell us there were no working smoke detectors inside. On that note, this is considered the busy season for fire crews, and so the red cross and the Fire Department are teaming up for a goal of no fire deaths campaign. So far this season the red cross and the Fire Department have installed more than 3,000 smoke alarms, but they say there is more work to be done. I actually tell people, if you want to give a lifesaving gift this year, donate a fire alarm. The red cross and the Fire Department partnership has helped cut the number of fire deaths in philadelphia from 31 last year to 12 this year, almost a record low for a single year. Now to this incredible video of a car fire in burlington county. Yesterday crews responded to these flames outside of the house on south church street. The woman that took this video tells us her fiance and two other men helped to pull the driver out when the car started smoking. It was a close call because minutes later the car burst into flames and nobody here was hurt. South jersey, a woman recovering after crews rescued her from a partially submerged car. Police say the driver lost control and ran off the road. The car landed in Cooper River Lake in callingswood around 4 00 a. M. Yesterday. Half of the car sank below the surface. The driver got out on his own but the crews had to rescue the woman, and both will be okay. We start out the weekend so nice. We are going to have a nice finish as well.
