Sounds like we can put the umbrellas away for today but keep them handy for this week. Yes, we will have more rain on tuesday and wednesday, and this morning you may need them a little while. We do have light rain falling now and there is Citizens Bank park, and on radar theres rain when you see the green. And mainly light stuff. This will move out over the next couple of hours. We will start to dry it out later on this morning into the afternoon hours, and we may see sunshine especially to the north and west. Reduced visibility in dover and delaware, and keep that in mind as you are out and about this morning, temperatures huge difference from north to south. Mt. Pocono, 31, below freezing and 42 in pottstown and 43 degrees in lancaster, and south and east, looking mainly at the 40s. 46 in wildwood, new jersey. By noon, sunshine to the north and west and mostly cloudy in philadelphia, and maybe seeing a leftover shower. And then by 4 00, partly cloudy and 49. Chilly day today, and chilly on monday and then were tracking a little warmup and also tracking wet weather as well and well talk more about that coming up that. New this morning, a suspected cop killer is arrested after an allnight manhunt in pennsylvania. The suspect was wanted for shooting a Police Officer in new Florence Westmoreland county ray shelter, jr. , now in custody. He thought a township officer responding to a domestic incident last night and the officer died at a hospital in johnstown. New from overnight in our area, three people dead after a crash in bernards township, somerset county. In addition to the three people who died, a dozen others were hurt. Medics took them to area hospitals and some of the cows died in the crash and in the meantime police are detouring traffic while they investigate and clear the highway. And part of 295 in burlington shut down this morning after a crash there. This happened around 3 30 this morning near the Burlington Township exit. No word yet on the victims condition. Today is one of the busiest travel days as folks will be returning to our area from their thanksgiving trips. Nbc10s Monique Braxton at the airport monitoring the aarrivals and departures. Reporter a spokesperson shows me there are no canilations or delays, and many travelers are caution due to the state departments Worldwide Travel alert warning terrorists may strike. One passenger we just spoke to expressed those concerns when flying across country from california. Now we have gone through another round of terrorists alerts and another holiday has passed, and did you have any hesitation at all . I just had a little bit of concerns reading about the people that they found that were working within the vendors and within the airports, that they found were on the list of terrorists connections. Reporter as thanksgiving travel got underway, airlines for america which represents the carriers told us 25 Million People in all would fly. Thanks, monique. We have new information this morning on the planned parenthood shooting in Colorado Springs. Nbc news sources say the alleged gunman may have been motivated by his opposition to abortion. Meanwhile the community is mourning the loss of three of its own, including a Police Officer. Nbc National Correspondent has the latest. Reporter a candlelight vigil lost his life when a gunman terrorized a neighborhood, one of several tributes to the victims of the attack. When Police Arrived they were met with a hail of gunfire and Law Enforcement sources say the shooter, 57yearold, robert lewis dear, armed with a ak47type of rifle, wounding nine and killing three. There was one guy saying theres an active shooter outside. Reporter the gunman finally gave up and was taken into custody. The Colorado Springs mayor is among those that praised First Responders. Theres no question in my mind we could have had more victims but for the incredible work of the First Responders in this case. Now, as this Community Mourns its loss an investigation is under way as to what led to the shooting. Ly ly an greg. This past summer an antiabortion Group Released videos that showed planned parenthood officials selling fetal tissue for profit. That has not cooled down the issue in the race for the white house. They dont mind having government interfere with a womans right to choose. And planned parenthood does get money for Health Services and cancer screening, and earlier this year republicans in congress tried to defund the organization as a whole came up short. The chief of septa police says a young woman took him up on his twitter offer of amnesty and returned a cell phone. A septa rider forgot a cell phone, and he was worried the phone wouldnt be recovered and returned if the woman was arrested, and he posted this photo and offered amnesty, and it worked, the phone was turned in and no charges were filed. Donald trump continues to boast about his poll numbers and takes jabs at his opponent and this weekend the donald is playing a little defense after another controversial comment. You need the umbrellas once again this morning, light rain is falling in some areas, and nothing in tums of heavy rain but we are seeing a nuisance. Scattered showers yesterday. Wet roadways and we will see the rain linger a little longer in parts of southern new jersey and delaware as we head throughout sunday. To the north and west, thats where we will see the clearing first. Light rain falling on radar, mainly green across the area and thats indicating its light stuff and in terms of temperatures, we have a big difference to the north. 22 degrees cooler compared to this time yesterday in mt. Pocono. And now by this afternoon, temperatures are going to be about 12 degrees cooler compared to where we ended up yesterday, and currently in the 40s in philadelphia. Temperatures mainly in the 40s, but we have a lot of cold spots, too. 31 in mt. Pocono. Thats below freezing. And 39 in quakertown. 42 in coatesville, and 43 in oxford. South and east, temperatures minutely in the 40s there. So for today were going to have morning showers, a light rain falling right now, and then it will be to the south and parts of delaware. Much cooler compared to friday. Temperatures topping out in the upper 40s and low 50s. This weekend, republican president ial candidate, donald trump, continued to boast about his high standing in the polls and he dismissed marco rubio and jeb bush at a rally in their home state of florida. He told a crowd of hundreds that he is killing everybody in the polls. He criticized them both. Bush, he seems to be a nice guy, and you cant act tough, you have to be tough. He wants to get tougher. Rubio wants to get tougher. He wants to get tougher. I said why dont you go and vote a couple times for the people of florida. That would be nice. He reminded the crowd he was self funding his campaign. Future weather, saying goodbye to the rain and by 1 00 notice more sunshine to the north and west and more cloud cover to the south of philadelphia and a little more stubborn there. And then clearing out and thats going to drop the temperatures in the 20s and 30s to the north and west, and bright sunshine to start out monday and then clouds come into the forecast before rain arrives overnight, and tuesday looks to be a rainy day. And in the morning, showers, and cooler temperatures as well, 48 to 51. Winds out of the north at 5 to 10 miles per hour, and cold tonight, temperatures in the 30s in philadelphia to 35. 27 north and west, and winds out of the north at 5 to 10 miles per hour. Well talk more about that with your 7day coming up. New this morning, a suspected cop killer is under arrest after an allnight manhunt in western pennsylvania. The suspect was wanted for shooting a Police Officer in new Florence Westmoreland county between pittsburgh and johnstown. Ray shetlor, jr. , was arrested for shooting an officer. Three people are dead after a crash in north jersey in bough tphaurdz township, somerset county. The accidents involved a car, a Passenger Van and a trailer carrying cows. In addition to three people that died, a dozen others were hurt. Medics took them all to area hospitals and some of the cows died in the crash. In the meantime, police are detouring traffic to investigate and clearing that part of the highway. And then 295 in Burlington County after a car crash here. A woman injured at the scene is now in the hospital. This happened around 3 30 this morning in the northbound lanes near the Burlington Township exit. No word yet on the victims condition. Today people will once again be taking to the air and rails and roads as they return from their thanksgiving holiday. Monique braxton is live at the airport. Reporter an airport spokesperson predicts about 92,000 passengers will come through the gates of this airport sometime today. We are showing you a lull right now inactivity but we did speak to some passengers that arrived and the first flights came in from california, denver and phoenix. We have been checking the flight schedules and no problems, no cancelations or delays, and most people boarding ontime. Most passengers stopped to share their experiences with us. Garrett swasey worked for the university of colorado in Colorado Springs, and yesterday the officers held a moment of si silence. Swasey was a championship ice skater. He was one of my friends when i was a kid, and even though your paths go different ways and you hear news like this and you transform right back into that time. We are still waiting to hear the names of the two civilians killed in the shootings. A 2yearold toddler and a woman remain in Critical Condition after a van hit them and two others. Heres what we know. Guests were leaving a nearby Birthday Party at a banquet hall when the van crash into the two women and children, and we are working to find out the c conditions of the two other victims. It was an elderly guy. He stopped and the van was there there and he was sitting in the van, and somebody asked him, who hit these people, and he said, i did. The driver told police he was maneuvering around illegally parked cars and did not see the pedestrians. Thats what we are hearing from authorities. No charges have been filed in this case. The sister of a homeless man that was beaten by a group of people at a philadelphia gas station earlier this year is now talking about her brothers death. The attack was caught on Surveillance Video back in april. Robert barns remained in a vegetative state until he died on wednesday, just before thanksgiving. Police say the six suspects are now in custody and they used a hammer in the attack. Some of the accused are teenagers. Barns sister wants people to know that her brother was more than just a homeless guy on the street. He was a person, you know. He was my brother. You know, he has a mother and a father and we love him. These Homeless People suffer from Mental Illness and addiction and they need to be guided. The family is now urging city officials to look into more services for people like robert barns, including Mental Health programs. The three adult suspect in the case rejected a plea deal and are awaiting to go to trial in january and prosecutors say they plan to upgrade the charges against them to murder. The experts suggest you measure your house and the doors, where you are going to put your tree before you go shopping, but size is not the only factor, though.
