Most of today for the jersey shore is actually going to be a good day to be outside. Its tonight you need to have those safety precautions planned out, not the best night to be outside. So is a look at our radar and satellite view. We have a few cells lingering across the area from Early Morning thunderstorms we had roll by. This is over atlantic county, but most has moved off now. Its the wider perspective, the strong storms moving into ohio that we are most concerned with because that is moving our direction. And as it heads our way, the heat wave will finally snap but when you have high heat and high humidity, usually we end up talking about severe storms moving in and that is t take a look at the a Thunderstorm Risk that has been put out over our area. Its not often that were in the yellow. If take a closer look, this includes almost august of our viewing area. We have south jersey, central jersey, into the suburbs, Lehigh Valley and delaware right through philadelphia under that slight bririsk. That means that were on the higher level. And if we talk more about the risks associated with a slight level, were talking scattered severe storms possible, short lived, not widespread, but still the potential for one or two tornadoes could spin up. Weve seen this previously. Looking at scattered wind damage and 1 to 2 inch hail. I also think it could dump heavy rain quickly enough that we would also be talking risk of flash tlooding occurring. So here is the hour by hour. The morning rain is out, were left with a mix of sun and clouds, maybe an isolated shower early this. So a lot of us during the daytime hours, its just the dangerous heat. But then tonight its stay indoor for a different reason. Here is that line, the squall moving through.
