I dont expect there tube lot falling as we go through today because this is so scattered in nature. Radar and satellite shows us whats going on now. Some snow passing by the north and west zones. A shooting at the airport in paris. A man they described as a suspect was shot dead at one of the terminals. They say he was trying to take a weapon from a soldier on patrol. They added its unclear whether the attacker acted alone. Police evacuated the terminal, tweeting a warning to visitors to avoid the airport while they investigate it. The shooting follows a similar incident last month at the louvre moum in which a suspect was wounded. France remains under a state of emergency. Everyone got out safely. Investigators believe the blaze was an accident and say it appeared to start near Electrical Equipment outside one of those homes. Neighbors called 911 and rescue teams were able to bring a 71yearold man to safety. But the woman sleeping in the back bedroom could not be saved. Former Pennsylvania State trooper is facing charges for the deft his pregnant wife and unborn baby. Joseph miller was arrested and charged with two counts of manslaughter yesterday. In march 2014 trooper miller was at home when he called 911 to report he accidentally shot his pregnant wife while cleaning his gun. Investigators say he originally told them his wife was eight feet away when she was shot but forensics show she was three inches away. She died at the hospital after an emergency c section. The baby also died. A judge has temporarily blocked the state of new jersey from imposing cuts in manpower, salary and benefits for members of the Atlantic City police department. Officials in charge of the states financial takeover of a,c. Say its about dollars and cents. Local Police Unions say it could impact public safety. The judges ruling blocks the cuts until a hearing on april 10th. Pay raises now not later thats just one of the demand from the Union RepresentingCorrectional Officers in delaware. The head of the Correctional Officers association of delaware spoke to state lawmakers yesterday. He says raising salaries is critical for prison safety. This all comes after the deadly hostage standoff at the Vaughn Correctional Center in smyrna last month. Lieutenant steven floyd died in that standoff. The union is asking for a complete overhaul of the work conditions at the prison. This morning the Delaware Department of correction has 19 new employees including 17 new officers. The city of flint, michigan is now getting a major federal boost to pay for upgrades following a lead crisis in its drinking water. The city switched to untreated water from the flint river back in 2014. That caused lead from the pipes to get into the water supply. The city went back to detroits water system in 2015 but neighbors still have to usele filters or water bottles. Back here in our area the second phase of philadelphias beverage tax is now in effect. The first phase was education and awareness for distributors and making sure they registered for the tax. But now Officials Say its all about enforcement. They are making sure they are following the law. The city now charges beverage distributors 1. 5 cents per ounce.
