Nbc 10 was there last night where the bomb squad investigated the situation at a walmart and a riteaid. Police responded to what they called a phonein threat. Investigators checked out a report of a suspicious package that was allegedly left under a car, but they have not said if they ever found the package. A north philadelphia Child Care Center where a baby died this week is now closed. State officials have cited gross incompetence and misconduct for the reason of the closure. A makeshift memorial sits outside of sisters child care. Teddy bears and messages left in memory of the ten month old girl who died. A man whose granddaughter attended the center said he was impressed with the facility. If there was a problems, they were there for you. They were good. I think the school was great. Surprised this happened with a child here. A state report says no one at the day care had uptodate cpr training and no one called 911 when the baby was unresponsive. Instead, they walked the girl to a hospital. Convicted cop killer says hes received poor medical care while receivering his life sentence. He told a judge yesterday when asked for a hepatitis c drug, hes told hes too healthy and the drug is too expensive to give to him. Hes now suing the department of corrections claiming that prison officials have ignored his health. Prosecutors have asked the judge to dismiss the appeal, but the judge refused. He spent nearly 30 years on death row for the shooting death of officer daniel faulkner. The sentence was overturned, and hes serving life in prison. The budgets battle in harrisburg could be close to an end. The Governors Office says that it has support needed to pass a major tax bilge in the house. Lawmakers vote today, and if it passes, a vote on a new budget could follow. Speaking of taxes, montgomery passed 9. 8 increase in the property tax there, 52 more per year for the average person whose home is valued at 160,000.
