Who crashed an suv into front of a Fitness Center in manayunk. This happened on nine near ridge avenue. The driver slammed in the front steps of the building around 3 00 this morning. Police tell us the driver and a passenger who were inside the suv took off. There are no arrests and no reports of anyone being hurt. Happening today, accused cop killer eric frein will have a pretrial hearing. Hes charged with shooting two Pennsylvania State troopers in the poconos in 2014 killing one of them. Heres the pike county courthouse. Freins lawyers will ask the judge to throw out his videotaped confession. His lawyers claim Police Continued interrogating frein after he told them that he did not want to answer questions about crimes. Police say frein was informed of his right to remain silent, but that he agreed to cooperate. A jury selected in Chester County is set to hear Opening Statements in the trial tomorrow. This morning, Philadelphia Police continue to search for the armed driver who shot and killed another driver along roosevelt boulevard. The deadly shooting happened in summerdale. The driver pulled up alongsides the victims car at the stoplight, and the gunman opened fire. The man lost control of his car, eventually swerving across multiple lanes of traffic and crashing into a fence. Police say the shooter took off south on the boulevard. A followup now. Philadelphia police have publicly identified a woman found stabbed to death in her home late last week as 63yearold robin potter. Her husband also suffered multiple stab wounds. He is still in the hospital. The couples son discovered the pair at their home in point breeze friday afternoon. Police tell us it does not appear there was a breakin. So far there are no arrests. 6 05 on this monday morning. Police are looking for a person who firebombed a womans house in west philadelphia. Somebody threw a molotov cocktail at the house on reno before 5 00 last night. The device blew out the windows of the home and set the first floor on fire. The woman inside was trapped on the second floor. Fortunately, firefighters were able to rescue her. A neighbor tells us that she heard a loud bang and went outside to check on her children. The neighbor came to brought it to my attention. They firebombed the house. I said, so that was that noise . You know, like its crazy. Detectives questioned the woman who was rescued from the fire. She was not injured. Not surprisingly, health care was the big topic at a town hall held by democrat dwight evans. He spoke to a friendly crowd of constituents yesterday. Many wanted to talk about obamacare and reforms needed to the system. Representative evans talked about the divisive feeling on capitol hill and what needs to be done to get things accomplished. President has to realize that if you want to get something done, you got to work with the democrats. And i think that thats slowly happening. I think the Democratic Party needs to understand and articulate what it stands for. I dont think theyve done a good job of doing that. Evans told us that town halls are a good way to start restoring faith in the Democratic Party. The flyers medical team will reevaluate goalie Michael Neuvirth today as he continues to recover following his collapse on the ice saturday night. This happened midway through the first period. The girl was walking on butler street in hunting park when three boys grabbed her. Investigators still havent found them. Matt delucia is live with more. Reporter the 13yearold is here at st. Christophers in stable condition, expected to recover. But police right now, theyre still trying to find the three teenaged boys who they say committed this awful attack. Take a look at where this happened. This was on the 1300 block of west butler street in hunting park. Three boys pulled the girl into the home and assaulted her. Neighbors say squatters and folks have been able to come in for several years. Neighbors say that theyre pulling for this girl and are hoping for justice now. Devastated. Im devastated. Its horrible. Christoph christophers. Three High School Girls today will go on trial following a fight last year that left one of their classmates dead. The 16yearold girl is accused of beating amy joy her frances in the bathroom at wilmingtons Howard High School of technology. Two other girls plan period the fight. Joyner frances died following heart problems after the altercation. Prosecutors are trying all three teens as juveniles. Today the Senate Judiciary is expected to approve mostly cloudy in neil gorsuch. It will trigger a showdown. Nearly 20 democrats oppose gorsuch.
