Emergency crews were called to 47th and woodland just before 2 00 for the twovehicle crash. One person is seriously injured. The rest have minor injuries. Now were seeing that fight come here in new jersey. Those lawmakers were talking about will gather here on the steps of the statehouse in trenton. Theyll have supporters with them and try to get more members of congress on their side. Their goal is to pass stricter gun laws. Congressman Frank Pallone and congresswoman Bonnie Watson coleman are working on this. They want republicans in congress to support laws that would ban people on the terrorist watch list from buying guns along with laws to ban assault weapons and require identification for online sales of ammunition. Congressman pallone, he argues that thoughts and prayers after a shooting is not enough. There must be policy changes. In the most recent gallup poll finds 55 of americans are in measures. Police in bucks county tell nbc 10 that they will do more interviews with the girls rescued from a home in feasterville. Lee kaplan is accused of sexually assaulting ac teenage whose parents, police say, gave her to him when she was 14. Her. Nine other amish girls also police a number of times over the last few years for nuisance problems. They also called last year to say they saw girls at the home when they knew kaplan did not have any children of his own. Me and my neighbor decided were going to the police. Enough is enough. Something is fishy. And sat down and talked about the nuisance stuff. This is a little over a year ago. Sat down with the police chief and two detectives and told them what i was seeing about these girls. And that something isnt right. A Police Source confirms that kevin riall did call police in april of last year but investigators were not allowed inside. They were told the girls and their mother were staying with kaplan while their Lancaster County home underwent renovations. The police said no specific abuse claims came in until last week. A witness told nbc 10 he saw a van speeding off on oregon avenue, then he heard the sound of flashing water. Philadelphia police scoured the water looking for the driver but no one was found. A Philadelphia Police officer will be okay after she was hit by an suv. They say they had lights and sirens on when she went through the intersection last night. Thats when an suv hit her patrol car. Its not clear if the suv had the green light. The officer suffered bumps and bruises. The other two are still in stable condition. Today well find out a lot more about the terror in orlando. The fbi is releasing limited transcripts from three phone calls from orlando gunman omar mateen and police. Mateen called police from inside pulse nightclub. In one of the calls, he made reference to the deadly 2013 Boston Marathon bombings. In another, he pledged allegiance to the islamic state. The attorney general, Loretta Lynch says the transcripts will be limited to avoid revictimizing the survivors of the attack. The u. S. Attorney general wouldnt say if his wife might face charges. Last night, an estimated 50,000 people joined together in orlando to remember the lives lost. The bell at st. James cathedral tolled 49 times, one for each person killed. 18 people hurt in the attack are still in the hospital, 4 of them in Critical Condition. Meanwhile, jurors will continue deliberates from the trial of chaka fattah. The panel had to restart after a juror was removed and replaced with an alternate. No one is saying why the juror was replaced. Prosecutors say chaka fattah routed federal grant money and nonprofit funds to pay back an illegal loan. Fattah has pleaded not guilty. I got a phone call on my way home there that there was a car parked in my front yard. Reporter that was the beginning of a 4monthold headache, as he describes it. He saw this car sitting in his driveway. It collided with another vehicle. When the car came over he went right into here, crushed this. This was all crushed. Reporter he says the car knocked down half of his wooden fence. He took down the Insurance Information of both drivers, then called their Insurance Companies. They both said that according to the police report, neither one of the Insurance Companies were liable because neither driver was at fault. Reporter Erie Insurance sent him this letter. He says Farmers Insurance told him the same thing over the phone. My house didnt jump in front of them. Reporter after getting nowhere with the Insurance Companies, he called nbc 10 responds.
